A month ago he was the best goalie in the league, with the way he was playing. There was a stretch where he was the only reason we were winning games. - GreatGigInTheSky

I'm so sick of Jake Gardiner. Does he have trade value? I feel like he might. Package him with Kapanen, Bracco, picks, whatever, in exchange for a better defenseman. I can't stand watching him anymore
Connor Carrick - F
Roman Polak - F
A few weeks ago, I really thought the Leafs were gonna put Polak on waivers. The game has passed him by. Dermott is clearly ready, so I'm not sure why Polak is still here. Seems very Brian Burke-esque to keep him around
I really hope Dermott and Liljegren pan out. Lot of pressure for those kids to contribute in a meaningful way - AxlRose91
cause he stands up for his goalie when no1 else would. |

Andersen is great. Best Goalchie the Leafs have had since Belfour. Suck it, haters.
*Andersen in October can suck it, though. |

Leafs thin on the blueline the answer to that is to get rid of dmen that are a positive. Ones on for more goals for than goals against.

very pleasant surprise. I don't think it is any coincidence that Reilly has upped his game this year |

Yes, he did
Every Dman in the league makes mistakes.
Did you see the gaffe's from Karlsson that game |

I'd give Hainsey an A. what more could the guy do. what a signing! |

I saw it differently against Washington, and the numbers are his save percentage was .915. Solid but not spectacular. I just think Leaf fans are so used to the Toskalas, Reimers, Berniers of this world we forget what a true star goalie like Belfour or Cujo is like.
I am not saying he is bad but I don't think he is a top ten guy either. - Rang
OK so you go on about Andersen and his .915SV% in the playoffs like thats a bad thing, but then go ahead and call cujo and belfour true stars?
Cujo never topped .915SV% as a leaf, as great as he was.
Belfour was .922/.918/.892.
Andersen .918/.921
at least try to be consistent. Its obvious you dont like freddie, but Andersen has played like an all star this year and was only robbed of that honor because the NHL cares more about ratings than sending the guys who earned their way |

He does things like those every game. The more you watch him the more you see just how terrible he is defensively.
He rushes the puck up the ice and is routinely the last guy back. |

Kapanen with a goal and an assist. And Dermott with an assist.
Johnson really ECHL'd his goal, though. |

I noticed that after I posted.
It'd be great to see him have a shot at the Leafs roster next year. Maybe Grundstrom the year after? Guy's on their ELC will be important for us |

Freddy has been the Leafs' best and most important player. They can struggle through without AM34, but without Freddy they are hooped. |

My initial line of thought for the lines down the road was Johnson / Bill Ny / Kapanen as a line. And move Marner to Matthews line.
But then I remembered that the Leafs are obviously gonna sign Tavares, so Marner is gonna be on his wing.
Serious though, I've always liked Johnson and Grundstrom impressed me when I saw him in person at the rookie tournament. He's like KomaGod, but can actually put the puck in the net. |
