I kinda hope not. Everyone in Toronto says he's starting to fade. Sounds like a bad contract waiting to happen.
- Tojo.

Not saying they're not wrong, but you should always take what TOR fans say with a grain of salt. They're almost as bad as Habs fans, if not worse in certain ways.

He's likely destined for a $5/5 year deal IMO.

I'm still baffled at how Dumoulin doesn't put up around 8 goals a year. He really does have a good shot.

If you guys want to check out that chart, there's the link. You can see the guys who don't have the names near them and their TOI and stuff.

Also kind of puts Sully's line blender into perspective. Look at all the combos.

At some point they have to adds center.......I hope.
- Tojo.

I would hope so. If we can add a Sheahan-level C for the 4th line and can shift G back to LW, we're in business.

Regardless of the score

Anyone else feel the Pens look like they have life for the first time in a while?

Seems like they should focus on finding a better combo for Geno

Hard pass. He'll be 32 in a couple months. Production is still good for a 3C, but Babcock really shelters him and gives him the most o zone starts, starts that Sid and Geno get here.

Bottom left of the center is the Hags-Geno-Kessel line... they have been bad.

I'd really like the Pens to keep exploring a trade for either Brassard or Pageau.

I'm fine with Rust-Geno-Kessel. Rust hasn't been lighting the lamp that much, but I think he's still very useful.

If we don't make a move for another C, G won't be back at LW. At least I hope the improved 4th line is enough for Sullivan to move on from Carter Rowney as an every day roster player. You simply can't play three 13th forwards together and have a functioning line.

Playing G at 3C doesn't optimize Guentzel's ability, but we are a much better team with him anchoring that 3rd line right now than we are with him as LW.

- Victoro311

Isn’t Rowney only out a couple more weeks? I would think Guentzel would go back to wing with his return if all else remains the same

When we get healthy I'd like this:

Simon-Crosby-Sprong
Guentzel-Malkin-Rust
Sheary-Sheahan-Kessel
Hagelin-New Center-Kuhnhackl/Reaves

I liked Sheary-Sheahan-Kessel in the small sample that I saw him. I've liked G when he's been with Malkin and would like to see if G-Geno-Rust meshes. All things being perfect, I'd love to see G back with Sid, but I'm not sure Simon is good enough to be the other skill guy that allows Rust to work in the top 6.

That would be a mistake. Kuhnhackl-Rowney-Reaves is not a functional line.

You're trading Hornqvist for a 4th line center ?

I'd like Brassard but his price may be high because his salary is less than his cap hit which is a big plus for a team like Ottawa

Didn't even realize I didn't have Hornqvist on there. Put Rust on the 4th line and Hornqvist in his place. Or try Sprong-Sid-Hornqvist and put Simon on the 4th line.

It's painful to watch, but I know its going to happen. Unless JR makes a deal.
