Artie had the big hat trick vs the Rangers |

As long as he is ok with losing. One guy who doesn't like losing is plenty for this team. - mdw7413
Bring in 1 or 2 more guys with Anderssons passion and we win the cup |

According to Zipay, Smith is still out and top4 like last game. - 21peter
These were my proposed lines. Know Smith is out and Holden playing with McD and Skjei with Kirk. |

So I guess there is no news about Chytil possibly staying around after the WJC?
Really would have like him to stay around and get DD out of there. With his skill set I could live with his mistakes as a rookie.

I would take Kampfer or Holden in the lineup right now any day over Smith. Smith is completely useless. imo. I think they need to bring up someone who is playing really well on defense. Not sure who that would be right now.

Holden could get us a 3rd/4th at the deadline. Call up ADA see if he’s learned from some of his mistakes. He can’t be worse than Shatty defensively |

Kampfer, Holden and Staal are in tomorrow's lineup, I think our D would be a lot better with them out, I want to see Pionk already and give ADA another shot, I fear that he's already being shopped and will never see that 2nd look |

Depends, we have no idea if ADA or Pionk is playing defensively well. Wish the Pack games were on tv. |

There are two fundamental truths about Rangers fans that have stood the test of time:
1. They always need a whipping boy on the blue line. Since the club's inception there is always at least one defensemen that Rangers fans can't stand. It is as much of a guarantee as the sun rising in the East and setting in the West.
2. There will always be a player that the fans think is getting screwed by the coach. Always! Remember a couple of years back it was McIlrath? - Pete V
On your first point, Pete, other than those idiots that did so on Girardi for the past few seasons (which they are paying for now!), two of the best playing Rangers d'men years earlier that their fans had MISTAKENLY made out to be their whipping boys were James Patrick and Michal Rozsival.
Those idiotic fans at MSG back then through the early 1990's, had never stopped stupidly & ridiculously immaturely chanting, "Patrick sucks" whenever he was on the ice. It reached the point where I became so disgusted with them, that I began selling many of my season's tickets for games my schedule did not even conflict with back then, which were against the lower drawing interest teams.
That type were also never happy, with the 20+ ice time minutes played per game by Rozsival, in addition to his steady defense, & with him earning his fair share of goals and assists at times for a d'man. If he was that bad to them, then why was he given that amount of ice time in the first place?
As to your second point, A.V. is not the first coach here, nor the only NHL coach in existence that their fans felt was "screwing" a player with their lack of ice time or number of games played in. But when it becomes obvious that some player is being held back way too often, the question arises as to why really so, for A.V. or any other NHL coach. |

I would trade Nash as well for a 1st. McD for Takchuk+. Miller+ for Manson/Hamilton/Dumba/Trouba etc etc Holden for a 3rd/4th
Kreider Zib Buch
Takchuk Chytil Zucc
Andersson Hayes Grabner
Skjei Manson/Trouba/Hamilton/Dumba etc
Staal poop-enkirk
Smith Kampfer.
We can all dream right?
Edit:This would be next years lineup with Chytil/Andersson - nyrangers9479
With Nash's offensive numbers at a current lull as a pending UFA, and most of them coming thus far within a short stretch of games, his trade value right now will get them at most, a mid to upper 2nd Round pick even up. That's unless there become at least two teams in some sort of desperate, but still lower valued bidding war, should their need for him arise, as our's is right now to replace a Kreider. Even then, any first rounder if offered straight up by some team, will be as close to an upper 2nd round pick at its highest.
In addition, Dumba isn't going anywhere, & you are not getting Trouba unless Skjei is in part going the other way, as the Jets had demanded from them last season, with their need for a potential top left handed shooting d'man. And, no to Hamilton. Just ask the Bruins & their fans why.
Also, stop with your "poop" calling of Shatty. There's waaaaay more than he alone that is wrong defensively here right now, which also involves their play up front. |

Serious question, right now half way through the season if you could have Girardi back or keep Shatty who are you taking? |

Your off on Nash’s value, look at what others have gone for in the past.
Staal(on a down year) 2 2nds and a prospect
Gaustad for a 1st
Penner for a 1st 3rd and prospect
St Louis for 2 1sts
Erat for Forsberg
The list goes on and on my friend. Nash does a ton of things that a team competing for a cup would love to add to their 2nd or 3rd line if they think they have a legitimate chance of winning it all. |
