God Buffalo fans can be so delusional. I've caught my fair share of Buffalo games this season (sad to admit) and Eichel is AWFUL defensively. Matthews is already a top 5 center in the league defensively, without question.

No they're not. I've watched both play and Matthews is the better player IMO. Whether Leaf fans are being Jack arses about it really isn't relevant. Of course it's just my opinion but to me it's not even debate numbers or not.

Eichel will absolutely be the Sabres representative for many years to come. He is their best player. But it doesn't change the fact that there's only one reason he's going this year.

I have also scored two empty net goals this year. Not quite Eichel like numbers, but pretty good. Maybe one day I could aspire to get four empty netters.
