There are value wingers every year had for almost nothing, that produce like Kane does.

Kane had a great first 15 games. Since has been an average 2nd liner

Again I dont know who is actually going to be available but off the top of my head guys like stastny, zucker and bailey are scoring goals 5v5 at a similar rate as kane.

we did. Benoit and Kane aren't that far off in 5v5 goals and benoit isnt even that good

Jason Pominville has 11 goals, has played a ton less than Kane in terms of minutes. Pouliot has 8 goals. Both those players we aren't hitched to long term.

You can find goal scoring wingers. It's not hard.

Ok so its not like getting a guy like him "for free" is really a realistic option for the Sabres. The expansion draft was a rare event and rare things happened

Get a competent 3rd line center so they can reduce ROR's minutes

The “Eichel” boost this year seems to be with Kane’s assists, not his goals

in all situations? i have no idea. But taking a quick look i notice derek ryan has 7 5v5 goals to kane's 8. he signed for just under 1.5 mil

Bottom line is we will need to fill at least 2 top six winger spots next season. And i would even say 3 if we want to do better than Okposo or Reinhart at RW

And Pouliot is on pace for about 15

That’s a significant difference imo

And how many goals does Pouliot have when he’s on the 3rd line where he belongs?
Just about all his scoring happened when he was playing with ROR, right?
