i dont think they should be free. but in state state schools should be affordable
- IndianaSabresFan

Why is HS free but not college?
U can’t really get a decent job today with only a HS education

Like I said...
if not free, then some form of debt forgiveness

Kids are living with their parents till they’re in there late20s now

It’s not bc they’re lazy millennials
It’s bc they’re in debt & cant afford to have their own place

Sure thats fine im just saying we need alot of help even with him in the line up. So once hes gone I think we will need at least 2 top 6 forwards to fill the holes.

?-Eichel-Reinhart(not ideal)
?-Oreilly-Okposo(Not ideal)

I agree: on paper it looks difficult to replace kane

Reality : a lot of his scoring was the eichel effect.

I wonder how this incident with Faulk effects his trade value

I would like to know what other players from this draft I have been bragging about ?

I was on the Z Train before anybody else what a shock top 3 pick

Tk has always been one of my favorites if you don’t remember I was all about drafting older TK And the great Clayton Keller !!

I guess I did do some bragging

Agreed
We already suck at scoring
Trading 1 of our top2 guys seems like a bad idea to me

Even if Mittelstadt comes in & is a 25+ scorer right away (which prob doesn’t happen, but let’s just say it does)

All that does is “replace” Kane’s production

Don’t we want to score MORE goals though?

Maybe it’s just me?

Hmmm...
apparently there’s conflicting stats out there then
Weird
You’d think it would be more cut & dry

- jdfitz77

Not conflicting. Hispanics can be white, black and even Asian because of the Philippines. A lot of Hispanic people identify as white, for obvious reasons, but if they're white, they're white. And if they're born in America, you'd never know unless they told you or their last name was a dead giveaway.

I know Hispanic people with whiter skin than me, lol.

It's all identity politics anyway these days and it's getting really old, tbh.

You can if you go into a trade. The last 10-20 years of the college only approach has really created a lot of room for employment in the skilled trades. After a few years as an apprentice you can easily pull down 60-80 as a skilled tradesman.

Really depends on the replacement but i dont think it's too bad if they've got a competent blueline

We have one of the worst zone entries/exit ratios in the entire league, fixing that leads to more controlled possession, more scoring chances and probably more goals.

Ok...
again though

White (non-Hispanic) is obviously a lower %

I’m not sure how u can count them as white or black or whatever...
ethnicity isn’t just the shade of your skin tone

Regardless though
It seems (from what I’ve seen) that those who identify themselves as “white” is dropping

The problem is finding an apprenticeship. It's not easy and it still costs some money.

Who do you suggest? I mean if its gonna be easy to replace kane, Who are the available replacements for him?

I think we could be in big trouble if we cant trade for a guy. I dont want Okposo or Reinhart in my top 6 next season

Isnt the knock on Kane :

Childish
Selfish
Doesn't get along with teammates

If your serious about winning the cup, I would think this incident with Faulk makes gms think a bit more.

This is very true. People are embracing their 10% Spanish heritage now instead of just saying "I'm an American" and being done with it.

I think even in the very small NHL sample size that Ghule has, he shows an ability to help us in this category quite a bit.

A number of times he makes an one touch pass to move the play up ice, reverse the rush. This lead on a few occasion a nice rush up ice and an easier zone entry.

Too many D on this team get the puck or receive a pass in our own zone and stop the puck, settle it down, and then move it. All this does is allow other teams to set up on us/make line changes.

Or! Falk is a career 7th d-man and he's mad he can't make a full-time NHL team, let alone a glorified AHL team like the Sabres and Kane told him to stop slashing him and he got mad.

Okposo has been playing better recently
Maybe : our top 4 or 5 pick could fill in for kane.

We are in a really bad spot. We are likely going to have to rely on young guys or fill holes with veteran FA's.

Fair enough
But that’s generally the only way

There’s other exceptions of course too
Starting your own business for example

But in general terms...
what I was trying to say is that a HS diploma isn’t what it used to be 40 years ago
And certainly isn’t nearly worth a college degree

So for the most part,
if u wanna get a good job u need to go to college & put yourself in debt for the next 10 years or so

That just doesn’t seem right to me

It's hard to answer without knowing who's actually going to be available in the summer but there are a few short term options on the list.

I dont think the team is going to fix everything in the upcoming off season, but an overhaul of the d-core could get them in a position to be buyers at the deadline
