As for the czar thing, Pegula tried it with lalalalalalafontaine and it blew up in his face.
The lesson he learned (rightly or wrongly) was to not have a czar |

Curious, no Kane? - jcragcrumple
The guy's 50th in primary points among forwards and 58th in 5v5 goals
He's only an all star to select fans here. everywhere else he's an above average 2nd liner. |

Yeah no arguments here, I just thought he'd be selected for some reason |

Did we ever find out why lafontain left exactly? Something about Ryan Miller or something? |

If Kane can bring back a 1st, a prospect, and a 3rd, let's hope he's on another team by the All star break. It's time to get this guy out of her before he hurts himself.
Kane's part of a failed build and it's time to start moving towards the Eichel, Mittelstadt, 2018 1st, new core. |

It seems very hazy. That's the consensus, that he didn't want to trade Miller, but nobody knows for sure as far as I know |

It’s really showing too. We are such an excellent defensive team from the forward position.
O’Reilly is supremely over rated - sbroads24
1 or 2 pulling their weight vs 10 not. Who do you think is going to win that one? |

What a bizarre situation...
Im thinking Lafontain didn't want to go the tank route

It was definitely embarassing for the Sabres. My guess, regardless of the specifics, is that Patty thought he had final say over any and all decisions, and Pegula thought of him as an advisor.
Rather than only allow Murray the moves lafontaine agreed with, Pegula and Lafontaine agreed to part ways |

This is pretty tangential, I guess, but I looked at statistical leaders after reading your post so here we are. I have no point to make here; I just found this interesting/surprising:
Last season 11 players finished at 1.00 PPG pace or better. Two of those players played 1 game. Stamkos played only 17.
The year before only 7 players who played more than 2 games finished at 1.00 PPG pace or better.
This season 26 players are currently playing at that pace or better. And all but two (Getzlaf at 19GP and another player with 1GP) have played a substantial majority of the games this season. Things will probably level off by the end of the season, but that seems like a pretty significant jump in individual scoring.
To bring this back around to the Sabres, Jack is currently at 0.91. Kane is 0.81. ROR is 0.69. Okposo is 0.54. |

There was definitely a power struggle of some sort going on. Maybe they should have let him have his way.. |

Technically you only need one player to be good defensively for the entire team to thrive defensively... I think that's how that works. |

I mean 50th in points is the second player on the first line (31*3=93>50 or 58 for that matter) Not saying he should be an all star, but if your gonna use points as an example, he's a first line player, right around average. Players have gotten in for a lot less. Lookin at you Girgs. |

Per Bob McKenzie:
BUF D Zach Bogosian is likely to miss four to six weeks with LBI (ankle?) suffered in practice today. |

Which is odd because according to Kevin Snow I think, Murray was LaFontaine's guy. Then he just bailed.
He did it with Garth Snow (I think) with the Isles.
That's twice now he took his toys and went home and chaos ensued.
LaFontaine gets too much of a pass in this I think. If this were his first time, OK I could understand.
But twice? |

Since every team has to be represented by at least one player its gotta be someone i.e. Girgs.
the worst team in the lrague shouldnt have more than one get in imo. |
