So in essence, Stan has turned Jeremy Morin and his 54 games for 16pts into Richard Panik for 149 games and 68pts.
This has now turned into Duclair.

No matter what Duclair does, this is still a big win for the Hawks

Discussions between Hawks and Coyotes on Duclair really picked up over last 7-10 days although it's worth noting Chicago also looked at him last season,, but there wasn't a fit at the time. Hawks obviously keen on Duclair's speed and upside

Thanks. I think both sides get what they want here. Neither asset in this trade was performing, so it's a clean break for both. Just like the trade this summer, Dauphin is the question mark.

Minor pieces aside, the net of the two trades is Hammer and Panik for Murphy and Duclair. Lots of salary jettisoned there.

Interesting but I think he has too much skill/talent to be on the 4th line. I think he would be a great piece next to Anisimov on a 3rd scoring line. If not maybe next to 8 and 88 on the 2nd line and bump Hartman down to the 3rd line.

Doesn't matter to me. Ducalir has a little extra pep-in his step and can score. Hawks have a good amount of dudes with hockey sense. Panik wasn't getting the job done. If Duclair can use his speed and score, I don't care if he has no "hockey sense."
