Done deal. Hearing Richard Panik and Adam Clendenning also involved as part of the deal. @NHLBlackhawks @ArizonaCoyotes @NHL

i'm wondering if you guys dumped franson as well.

I mentioned Duclair would be a good pickup a couple weeks ago, I guess Bowman agreed.

Richard Panik was looking a bad contract extension already just 40 games into the season. However, Duclair has inconsistent and streaky tendencies as well.

All-in-all, I like this move.

Cap space as well in this... Panik (2.8M) and Duclair (1.2M)

Stan working that cap space hard.

You did. Good call. I like that the Hawks got a younger asset with some potential for a guy who has struggled under a iffy contract.

thats the big bonus plus duclair is rfa at the end of the year; he will be on good behaviour...

it doesn't work you move him but you have control of a younger asset...

Apparently Dauphin will not be replacing Marcus Kruger as the Blackhawks fourth line center.

I like getting Duclair though. He's speedy, has potential, still young. It's a high reward, low risk move.

Maybe Kampf played well enough to feel like they could lose a potential lower line C.

At first we did

But he's been scuffling big time this season, up until the last few games(and excluding the first week or so of the season when just about everyone was putting up points, like half of them opening night in that slaughtering of the Pens).

I would keep our top 6 the same and IMO Duclair with AA and DeBrincat would be one hell of a 3rd scoring line. Lots of speed and talent on those top 3 lines.

Luke Johnson fits that role too. He's a gamer and playing well in Rockford.

So in essence, Stan has turned Jeremy Morin and his 54 games for 16pts into Richard Panik for 149 games and 68pts.
This has now turned into Duclair.

No matter what Duclair does, this is still a big win for the Hawks

Well played Stan. Have a celebratory scotch or 19

If Sikura is the real deal in the near future and Hayden returns after sharpening his game, then the Hawks have some real good young players to choose from.
