HT, Blowman's got it covered.
Word is, he's going to acquire a few more smurfs and has already suggested the following structure to Q for a few of them:

Agreed......... now if Berge wants to include Danault in something, let's talk !!

Oh hells yea. ... Phil is probably a guy who will give you 45 points a year, play elite level 2-way D, win draws, and play the game the way it was meant to be played. Not sure if his overall skill translates to top 6 (though he's doing that in Montreal), but what a HELL of a third line center he would be.

Id love for Stan to unright the wrong.

How much do you pay PD on his next contract? He's an RFA with arbitration rights this summer.

Based on his production I'd say he's easily in the $4 million range.

Justin any chance the hawks are shopping Crawford to what they can get and what teams might be interested and don't want anyone to know. Obviously Crawford would not get traded unless hawks would not make the playoffs and a rebuild would occur in the offseason. Any update on AA return to lineup? Congrats again on the new addition to your family and keep up the good work.

Tin foil idea time: Seabrook turns into Forward Byfuglien

It's crazy, it's stupid, it's insulting to his history here. But who knows.

Q played 7 Defensemen last night, probably because Panik got traded. Check out Daily Faceoff's lineup breakdown: https://www.dailyfaceoff....ckhawks/line-combinations

Does this mean Seabrook is our new RW? No

They only did it because they had to show him in the lineup one way or another.

Could Seabrook pull a Byfuglien 2010-2015 with some RW play? I could see him parking in front of the net and causing some commotion. Anybody else entertain the idea?

There has been a lot worse ideas thrown out on this board. At the very least as you said, get him to park his ass in front of the goalie and screen some shots/make some room

Speaking of Crawford, I know it’s the norm for teams to be tight lipped about injuries, but something just feels different about this.

When is the last time he’s been seen, I don’t recall any reporters talking to him since the injury.

Just seems strange to me.

Something is going to change on that backend, somebody is going elsewhere and soon. Gustaffson isn't up as a reward - he's either going to play to stay or be showcased.

And thinking about it further, Stanbo trades #4 to Arizona for Murphy and he's healthy scratched some nights, plays his offside another and then gets under 8 minutes last night. He's shown improvement but doesn't match the speed/mobility criteria they seem to want. Probably no better than a #5 or 6 on a really good team. I'd be mildly surprised but I could see him moved out.

- RickJ

I actually may disagree with the bolded bit. Gustafsson was an AHL all-star this year. Hino got the same recognition before he was called up. Goose also has 30 points in 68 games. He may be trade-bait, but he has played well.

I worked in Wrigley before the renovations, I’ve smelled worse. Now get back to work. I had to offer discounted tickets on “cyber-monday”. One trade with the worst franchise in the west isn’t going to cut it.

That is an interesting thought but if defense must be as good as possible down the stretch run, then Murphy and Seabrook together should stay intact. I wish they could be split up so that each was paired with an offensive dman. But Murphy Seabrook together brings the best in Murphy's game.

I am not convinced yet if Murphy will become a tad better after he shakes off the Arizona rust, becomes even more acclimated to Samuelson's nuances in his system, as well as the comfort factor playing with new partners especially when they are kids still seeking experience.

Murphy represents the short supply of muscle on defense. Ship him out then we are hampered ftom the physical side which is still important even though skating speed, movement, reading plays is so empahadized. I fo not want Svedberg here.

I want to suggest that Sesbrook is slow, but maybe not an albatross. Let's see how solid he is (and Keith) as we head toward the stretch drive. Unfortunately when the games really take on significance is after the trade deadline and I am afraid we may be just too far behind.

Nope. My guess is a former blog name who was off the board for a while. Cleverness is his forte. But there is no way to know or waste time wondering. Anyone could be Stan Bowman

What would not surprise me is, that McDonough has some intern read hockeybuzz and report to him the gist of how he is treated by the blog's readers and JJ + Justin.

Anyone see the Channel 5 News sports segment this evening where Roenick strongly suggested that "somethings wrong in the room" ? He seemed to reference it in conjunction with Seabrook being a healthy scratch. Gotta wonder what he might really know or mean.

They have been so inconsistent and you go from playing franson 20 games in row to waiving him. benching murph and then put him on his off side. bringing up jurco and then going with 7 D. A ton of what has gone on makes no sense. Playing bouma every game but scratching guys that can and you need to get going. If people think we can win 4 rounds of playoffs with bouma, wingels and hayden at line 4. No scoing at all from that line and the only one that looks like he could score a little is Wingels.
