I get what he's saying, but the Sabres score the fewest goals in the league, and the D is pretty porous. I'd rather they call up Amerks and let then learn how to score in the NHL, and we'll worry about that pesky defense thing next year.

I think the concern, from my perspective, about any player on this team is that the effort is not there consistently. If ROR was only able to turn it on when the game was out of hand, that's concerning.

If players are only worried about their own stats, that's more concerning.

Someone needs to be the leader of this team to get them on some sort of track.

Scores at the wrong times
Goes 10-15 games once a year without a goal
Has not made playoffs
Has not made Pouliot/okposo/Reinhart elite

Reasons to keep him:

3rd best offensive forward
Best defensive forward
Makes 7.5 mil and is one of the better 2nd line centers in the league

Let's trade the guy who is good because other people on the team suck
