No guy, just a realist. I'm lucky to be a hockey fan and can watch most teams without missing a beat as to where are and where they are going. Thank god I don't live in WNY anymore to have to watch/support those losers, but it's equally crazy to watch the fans support woefully, losing hockey. Even worse is the Sabre Cancer theory. Buddy Cloutier was patient zero, and it continued from there.

My assumption (I can't recall if it was actually an understanding back then) was that another team was going to trade for LA's pick and Darcy either feared or knew that they would take Myers. So he called up LA to make this deal. I would assume the 3rd LA got from Buffalo was worse than whatever the other team was offering as an extra pick, but the Buffalo deal allowed LA to collect an extra pick and still get the guy they wanted.
