Spatso thinks my balls are bacon wrapped scallops.

They're better than scallops. You don't have to wrap them in bacon for them to be tasty.

That shows you that scallops are kind of lame. Like, you don't have to put scallops around bacon to make bacon good.

Really impressed with him. Let's wait and see if he can sustain this.

If he can....Babs can finally even out the pairings.

Rielly-Hainsey
Gardiner-Dermott
Borg-Z

Or

Rielly-Hainsey
Dermott-Z
Gardiner-Carrick/Borg

Dermott was a 2nd round pick. Sure be nice to get another guy like that in the 2nd round. Being able to pick up good young players after the first round is a huge way to keep a team successful for long time. Got to love 2nd rounders. That said, bottom pairing dmen for 25 games are nice too, I think.

In all seriousness, Marner is on Pace for 55 points after a horrible start to the season. And he's 20.

I admit, Boeser looks like the real deal and Marner may not be as good as him in the long term, but Marner is certainly worth more than a happy meal toy.

- TheMussel

He'd have 15 more assists if JVR could hit an open net. Marner's gonna be just fine, despite what some morons that don't watch him play thinks.

Imagine what JVR would get paid if he had 33 goals already

Playoff Style hockey?!
- Sabresfan88

You see, the blogger is suggesting that playing hard as soon as the game starts, scoring a couple goals for a lead, and then playing smart defensive hockey is "playoff style hockey". Pretty silly, huh?

Don't worry about the fact that the Sabres can't do any of those things. With the way your season is going, you won't need to play that style for quite a while.

Cheer up, if Arizona can string together a few wins, you'll be absolute last in the league (they're 3 points behind your Sabres). Then you can pick a real nice player with the 2nd overall after Edmonton wins the draft lottery again.

Ottawa coming in limping. Thrashed tonight and lost Ryan to a hand injury. Dutch has the flu. They are a bit if a mess. Buds better bring the A game and not let up at all like the Hawks tonight. Primed for a win if they show up.

If hawks would eat a good portion seabrook s salary can he Benifit leafs and do you like him? Can he help leafs and mentor D men?
- BreathLeafs2015

32 years old, right handed shot, with 1 goal and 11 points making 6.875 million a year until 2023/2024 with a NMC. That's a really easy no. That being said, Seabrook at 4 million looks a lot better and different than at 6.875 million.

The argument against would be obvious but the argument for is interesting. Hainsey makes 3 million dollars a year and he's 36. Would you rather have Hainsey at 36 and 3 million or Seabrook at 32 and 4 million? If Hainsey gets another 2 year deal, he'll be signed until he's 39 and Seabrook is signed until he's 38. Hainsey at 3 million or Seabrook at 4 million? I think I'd take Seabrook.

Boils down to what it costs which chances are, is still going to be significant if Chicago eats salary considering they're always up against the cap. Odds are, Seabrook has some gas left in the tank for Chicago and it's just a matter of rediscovering his game so that also makes it pretty unlikely.

First one we hit in years.

Again, don't need to horde them when you can improve your team.

Dermott has 3 years including this one on his ELC.

Really helps the Leafs with spending on a guy or two on a 1-2 year deal.

Hopefully they don't turn around now and as a result of that thumping, play the game of their life tonight... Leafs better not fall asleep...

Remember at the start of the season how he was "back," due to a "dominated playoffs?"
