When CLB took PLD at 3 it threw a wrench into basically the whole top 10 picks. Lots of GM's had to scramble after that...Not sure I would hang that one on JB.

Lots on here loved Sergachev it just wasn't to be.

Not hanging on him, you just need to be prepared when those things happen, no?

No Franson..... we passed. Everyone else did to. Stupid move by Benning.

So we get pylons like Dowd to cover injuries but actual players to cover possible trades, if only until the year's end.... nah.

Unless he is planning on keeping Guddy.

Dowd? really?! I've been really impressed, seems like a great energy bottom 6 guy.

Oh for sure I just think PLD going at 3OA screwed a lot of GM's plans up not just Benning. But OJ will turn out good so no worries on that at all.

PLD is now CBJs new nunber 1 center and tortorella is praising the poop out of him.

I traded Juolevi, Meier, A.Nylander and a 4th for him and rantanen two weeks ago. Felling pretty good about that right now. Keeper league, so I could get burned down the line.

Dowd to Chicago.

Why the heck would be pass on Franson if Guddy was going?????? Even if it was just a band-aid.

Holm is playing well, maybe they plan on bringing him up? I agree he would have been a nice easy bandaid, limit the icetime/responsibility for the young guys so you can have them focus on skills/development. Honestly, i'd pick up about anybody and send Stecher down to develop. I like the player and think he's getting ruined, not quite sure why they think trial by fire works for everyone.

To me, seems like a win for us. LA might have a n abundance of hard nose bottom 6 guys, but we sure dont.

Way to steal my thunder!

Fortunately, there's lots more in the blog - comparing Boeser and Ovi, Guddy's trade profile increasing and a Jonathan Dahlen update:

Hilarious part is that LA fans don't really think he's that gritty, just shows how soft this team is
