Does anyone know how to view the blog where MJL broke James Tanner the other day? It's been taken down, but I know there are ways to view pages from days ago. If anyone could post a link, that would be awesome.

He got the Coyotes taken away and Eklund apparently strongly advised him to limit the amount of banter he posts in the comments.

From what I gathered, MJL called him out and Tanner lost his mind. Good for MJL.

Historically, he has been among the best. I don't think that means he necessarily is every year. He has the reputation of being the best and is tied for the most Selke awards. That will carry weight with voters over someone who hasn't placed higher than 8th
- YuenglingJagr

Reputation is definitely part of it. Datsyuk continued to get a ton of votes for it and finished high based on rep when he was no longer playing against top lines or playing a big role on the PK. Right now though that's not the case with Bergeron.

Only one trophy I give a (frank) about and that's the big one that the last team standing gets to skate around with.
- BiggE

That trophy has turned into just the team who wins the most playoff games in a season. So stupid.

taking shots will certainly help...he averages just over 1 shot per game...I could see 25-30 if he stays healthy and gets PP2 time. Will especially help if Lindblom comes up and he keeps Weise away from him

Was it his Oilers blog? The blog itself was boring, the comments must've gone wildly off course.

They are some fair knocks. But I also see a kid coming off of dual hernia surgery who is lacking some core strength as a result. And that area of the body is where ALL of your power to skate and exert power on opponents comes from.

People need to realize this and temper some of their criticism. That he is still holding his own despite the surgeries, and the concussion is pretty impressive IMO.

Next season he will be fine.

- MBFlyerfan

He has legitimate excuses for an underwhelming start to his career. I'm not worried about him but can undersrand fans wanting more. Still has a lot to learn in addition to his physical recovery.

I see. The comments are not available in the Oilers blog I mentioned so I thought it might be that.

Someone in his "farewall Coyotes" blog mentioned something about him making Trump comments. I don't know, or care, who is pro- and who is anti-Trump, but it must've been a doozy.

See he tried to play the getting it taken away as stepping away. Can't admit he got his paw slapped down by the powers that be.

And yes MJL called him out on something and he went full liberal millennial spouting off like a Trump supporter called them out.

I am curious what some of you all think about Patrick's play recently. I have been trying to make it a point to specifically watch him when he is on the ice. A few observations that I have made: He seems to get pinned along the boards fairly easily resulting in him losing the puck battle, doesnt seem to join or lead the rush much, not as explosive of a skater as I hoped he would be, he tries to make power moves past defenders and just gets out muscled, and he relies on his no look drop pass a lot.

I hope all of these things are just a result of his age and recent surgery, but it kind of has me worried about his offensive upside.

- johm12

I actually lately see the opposite on most of your observations. I have noticed him winning a lot more battles along the boards. One thing I have really noticed is his skating is getting a lot better. He looks faster then he did early in the season without a doubt. I think slowly he is starting to come around. Still going to make mistakes, but I can live with it. I would like to see a better winger with him. Like to see Linblom/Patrick/Simmer.

Look back last year at Giroux and Ghost. They both are night and day compared to last year.

Their mother was a beautiful Swedish woman and father was a planarian originally from Finland, but found itself in Sweden after a boating accident in the Baltic

I like that I wasn't for either horse in that race and can watch both sides melt down when the other presses the right buttons.

I can proudly say that I voted, which I believe gives me a right to moan and complain about things I don't like, but I refrained from voting for either the Democrats or Republicans, because I thought they were both pretty horrible people. That said, Mr. Trump won the election fair and square. You don't have to like it one bit, but he won it.
