It's not a false narrative, that's nonsense. MacDonald as a top 4 defenseman is proven by the facts. There are many legitimate top 4 NHL defenseman that might be moved down the lineup on a top team. There have also have been plenty of players who are equal too or lesser than MacDonald playing a top 4 role on top teams. All you've done is offer speculation not fact.
