Ideally and statistically there must be 124 top 4 defensemen in the NHL. Presently there are 272 defensemen that have played a game on the NHL stats pages. On those pages AMAC has played an average of 20.25 per game, which is 83rd highest. How many of the defensemen below him would you rather have dressed for as many games and minutes for the Flyers. I don't think it is very many.
