it's to late for him to save their sorry defensive asses...

great game in NYC 2 days ago...and then this...

let me know when this team can put a couple high quality games back to back

- bogiedoc

...and the Hawks continue with the abysmal starts. In this case the team on the second night of a back-to-back runs 'em out the rink in the first, and looks fresher down the stretch.

Crap effort yet again.

Tough loss ,but good to come back and make a game of it .Vinny had good night ,but real bone head play on the icing for the 4th goal , young players gotta learn . Team not ready to play at the start ,Kane slow all night . Hearing Hartman was a healthy scratch ,if so just another of Q terrible roster moves ,should be use to by now .I swear this team and Head coach are on different wave lengths , Q should go before it is to late . GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Murph effed up on that pinch, but Seabrook was a joke tonight. Time to rebuild.
- kwolf68

Vegas is good, they believe in GG's system, Hawks don't have
a system, especially when Seabs passes to nowhere and Keith
ain't the Keith of old.

Foley and Edzo keep with the marketing though, only mention
names of the lessers when they goof up, never the Cup boy's
though can't say boo about them.

!st line has been pretty good since 48 became a part
2nd line was way to small without Hartman
3rd line was good
4th line needs 64 to center between 57-40....17 has gone Panik.

Keith needs to play less, Seabs needs to sit
Franson surprisingly play all that bad outside of the
obligated pylon play.
Oseterle was alright
Forsling was alright
Murphy outside of the one bad pinch was pretty good.

They might've won this game with Corey but Glass as a good
a story as is ain't gonna cut it. What now Q play Forsberg
against Edm? McJesus will score a hatter.

And the ref's let them play, meaning Vegas got away with
murder in the 3rd as the Hawks ain't physical enough to
play that way.

They should be sellers and rebuild, if they do it right they
could be pretty good sooner than later.

the hawks schedule really blows this year: they just get home from a 3 week marathon, they play the oil sunday and then got to ott..and back home the next night vs the wild...

this is kind of poopty travel schedule they have had all year..

Was 38 a healthy scratch? If so Q has gone mad, maybe he's trying to get Foxed?

li am very impressed with him...he has no chance on half the goals given up...he kept them in the game in the first...that should have 3 or 4 zip...

the guy has faced nhl high quality 150 shots with grade A chances and stood tall ...i suspect he never saw this kind game play over an entire khl season...

his team mates just don't show up until their down 2-3 goals and get run out of the building in the 1 periods

Breakaways are becoming more and more rare nowadays by the Hawks. Hawks struggle mightily trying to get int the oponents zone. Lack of speed(old age) ,stamina and husstle is killing the Hawks.

I have been saying for sometime .Q is getting in the way of a decent team . The lines and roster are in constant flux even after a victory .

I think it is time for a shakeup in the Big House. The warriors look confused, core players show no urgency to be accountable . To many Chiefs and not enough Indians. IMO, time to let Q go and make Kane our new Captain.

Funny nothing about Panik drawing back in or Hartman being scratch before the game . Panik did not play bad, at least he was throwing the body around .

Actually no...

Troy noted the poor start, and the bad decisions that came back to bite 'em.
Praised the Vegas club...ALOT.

Wiedeman was kinda odd tonight. Talked up the game like it was a playoff battle, puffed up the "action" like it was a barn burner that just didn't go the Hawks way. Seemed to be trying too hard to credit the Hawks "effort".

Bit of a suk up tonight.

Interesting game this evening.... Kudos to Vegas, Gallant really has them playing well. Their speed and forecheck were fantastic.

I'm sure folks will point to the Hawks having Glass in the net tonight...sure that first one shouldn't have gone it. But Vegas was faster to every loose puck and dominated in shots and everywhere else it seemed. But somehow the Hawks managed to take a 4-3 lead in the third. Remember when the Hawks would have a lead in third and couldn't lose. Well those days are long gone.

Some will point to Glass a backup's backup...Glass didn't have a chance on that last one for sure and he's played well...but what about Forsberg - Stan's big steal in the Panarin/Saad deal - which looks worse every day.

The Hawks really played hard tonight, they really gave it all they had...and yet they lost. A we've seen all season - the depth this team has had is no longer there. And that's on the hopefully soon to be walmart greeter not the coaching staff.

How did Seabrook look tonight...? How did Panik play...almost with a pulse for 2.9m per. For that matter how bout Murphy who coughed up the puck for the game winner? How does it bode for your team when you turn over half of your defensive corps on the fly?

Should the Hawks qualify for the postseason they'll be out quickly...with either the Preds St Louis or Vegas mercifully ending this season. But that looks like a pipedream. Speaking of which...Maybe McD finally gives up his man crush on Scotty and figures it out...but I doubt it.

Terrific hockey game.

And quite impressed by the Hawks 4th round pick Soderland. He's fairly small but a competitor with great wheels and a nasty edge.

Ray Farrero very complimentary toward Soderlund on the broadcast. He scored their only goal shorthanded.

And again on the 5th goal, Seabs brings absolutely nothing
anymore, pretty sad.

- gazza53

No what’s really sad is DeBrincat F1 just down in the corner and doesn’t seem to react at all, no idea what Scmaltz F2 was trying doing with the puck, Kane in the F3 position just keeps gliding in the wrong direction towards the net closer to the F2/F1 position totally abandoning his F3 spot and the only forward that even made it back to the D zone was Scmaltz was the only forward to make it back to the O zone just pitiful!

There's no time for moral victories when you're last place in the division at the halfway point of the season. Would have been a great comeback win, but the Announcer's curse as Olcyk is talking up
Murphy, he makes an egregious pinch for the GWG....

- EnzoD

Yeah dumb mistake to count on the F3 which was Kane in this situation to actually play engage and play some D.

Nope just quits and continues to glide towards Subban as two Knights fly past him. I’m not sure but I think he skated over by DeBrincat to talk the situation over.

No what’s really sad is Toews just quit after he gets the puck taken from him, Kane just keeps gliding in the wrong direction and the only forward that even made it back to the D zone was Scmaltz who was furthest away in the corner, just pitiful!

When this apathy is prevalent throughout most of the season, it means the coach is not getting too many players to buy in..

Truly a dark horse team if they fix the apathy
