No not really, Forsling struggles from time to time but isn't afraid of taking a hit to make a play, unlike Leddyi also think mentally he's 2 to 3 years ahead of where Leddy was. Leddy looked lost in his own end way way way to much
- BetweenTheDots

I think Forsling has a better stick and is much better than Leddy at the same age in the d zone. Forsling has some big hiccups occasionally but he also makes a lot of subtle quality plays that I still don't think Leddy can make in the d zone.

Forsling's shot is better too. Both are very smooth skaters but Leddy definitely has more top end speed.

I really like Forsling's upside. If he can put on some muscle in the next few years and he continues to develop he could easily be a solid#2/3.

God i really hate when Q does absolutely stupid poop that erks me right when we're starting to come together as a team.

Benching Hartman is stupid. Just no other word for it, I'm sorry. Its a stupid move, with absolutely zero reasoning whatsoever. He's really been playing well, coming off having already been benched....like i don't get it. Why mess with the 38-8-88 line? STUPID!

If the crazy 8 line keeps playing like this, they have a 3C in AA, and a 4C in Kampf.

As for who to send down when AA returns, what if they trade Kempny for a draft pick?

- tvetter

Smaltz can t win faceoffs and would get destroyed in playoffs against teams like san jose LA st louis anahiem kampf looks to be nice surprise but should be in AHL developing still need a 3rd line center wiggles could stay 4th line center but be better suited on the wing

Respectfully disagree.

I think watching guys like Crow/Darling on the Hawks have made people not understand (or forget) that there are different styles of goaltending.

Crow relies far more on positioning and technical aspects to have his success. This style is much more "boring" looking when watching. By "boring" I mean that you won't see him all over the place because he has his position/technique down so well. He's making crazy saves, but it's more subtle looking because of his style.

Glass is more of an athletic/acrobatic style. Yes, there are times he is all over the place, but remember, he's getting his feet wet at the NHL level. He's not a technically sound guy like Crow and that's OK. There have been a number of untraditional/unorthodox goalies who rely on athleticism and have found a lot of success--think Hasek, Marty B, etc...

Some dudes just aren't as technically sound as others, but they rely on physical ability and sheer will to get to where they need to be to make the stop--regardless of how pretty or nice it looks.

In the end, it doesn't matter what you look like, just as long as you keep the puck out of the net.

- Hank3Henshaw

Hey Hank - good points.

I personally feel that his style is pretty raw which scares me at his age. Couple that with the fact that it also took him 32 years to make the NHL when any team in the league could have signed him on numerous occassions highlights along with the eye test lead me to that statement.

However, hard to argue your point though... it doesn't matter how you stop the puck.

How about Sharp sits then? Or Bouma? Or like, not the guy that's been playing well on the line that's been been playing VERY well.

This is what happens when you change the entire lineup after your team finally starts to gel and gain momentum.

Coach had to go (frank) everything up. Lovely.

Once again, Hawks not out of the gate with any energy, and looking unprepared.

One team has the GAF tonight and it is not the guys in red.

12 rubbed off like a gnat off of every puck he was near in the D zone.

Going to be another long night.

Consistency.......

Hartman is injured. How about the coach get his team ready to play? Pathetic start. Unless Rutta is injured, I think he should be playing over lead foot Franson.

Sorry if I missed this, but you know how long he's out for what the injury is or when it happened?
