My favorite so far. Nice win!

It was a nice win now we need one more before our bye week. But we all know which team is bound to show up after a win haha

From Yohe's Q & A on the Athletic....

Q: Give us your favorite story of Evgeni Malkin. — @LukasMancinii

A: It was 2011. Crosby was still out with the concussion and had been out for the better part of a year. There was a now infamous meeting in the Penguins' locker room. On one side stood Brooks Orpik, Jordan Staal, Craig Adams and Matt Cooke. Those four were exploring the possibility of naming someone else team captain until Crosby came back. On the other side of the debate were Marc-Andre Fleury, Malkin, Pascal Dupuis and Arron Asham. A rather heated discussion broke out. At the end, Malkin made his point clear: “Guys. Sid is the f****** captain.” Then he left the room. And the conversation was over.

He’s told that story before and it’s one I remember every time the bogus “Malkin wants to be the guy” talks come up. It’s a great story. I also remember what side of the room Adams was on and put it in context of him boarding and fighting people in practice when people talk about how great of a locker room guy he was.

Great game last night. That’s what we were hoping for from Sprong. I was actually going to guess that Crosby would have a 4 point night but didn’t want to get roasted if he didn’t show up. I wonder if management and Rutherford are on the same page about Sprong. Like, maybe the owners wanted him up and Rutherford said he wasn’t ready.
I still don’t care for Guentzel at center and with Rowney our for a while I think picking up someone, just about anyone should become a priority. Honestly, I’d be happier with Shea moving back up > McKegg going to 4C (then waived after the trade) > and Guentzel can play with Malkin and Kessel. The Sheahan, Horny, Sheary line had good chemistry anyways. What do you guys think?

I do agree that some of them were really boneheaded but some of them would not be called a penalty like ever in the nhl.

That’s more of a problem with the NHL than anything else.

I just got home from eating breakfast with Bill Guerin, Paul DeFazio, Anthony Ciambriello,
Seamus McKelvey, Tim Army, and Mike Joyce from the Wilkes Barre Penguins.

It was an incredible experience! I was able to talk to Bill a bit and I asked him about a bunch of the trade rumors. Overall he said in a nutshell. Letang wouldn't be traded at this point unless they felt they got someone back who could benefit the team more. He stated no-one would be traded (Cole) unless again they felt it would better the team.
He stated everyone was interested in Kane because he was a talented guy.
He got quiet when I asked him about the rumors Patches for Letang. I asked him about Guetzel playing full time at center for the Pens.
He told me if it were him he would want to see him get more time in that position.
I asked what positions they were looking at for the team. He told me all if it could improve the teams chances of winning.
I asked if he wanted to get better on the left wing position. He told me that if it were him he would being in two wingers, but you never know what trade will come your way, and you never know what Jim is going to do.

Overall it was awesome!

That's awesome to hear to have another good young goalie come up and have a chance. How old is he? Will he be with the baby pens next year?

I believe (not 100%) hes eligible to join WBS after his juniors season ends this year, so perhaps March or April.
