That 4th line got buried in their own zone so bad it looked like a PK. |

I think Jarry is damn close to taking the starters job for the immediate future. |

The Pens are in a nice position to have quite the tandem. |

This top heavy attack is terrible. Where is the depth scoring? |

I want them to try these lines next game.
Sheary-Guentzel-Kessel might not have finished on any, but they generated some tap in chances. |

Sprong again. Jarry making nig key saves does spur offence. Sprong with sid where he belongs! |

Looking back about 6 days ago when Sprong got called up. I said why would you not put Sprong with Crosby and Simon to even all the lines out. And its worked tonight! Pretty close to exact 4 lines i posted!
As well... Does Sprong not seem like the next Kessel!? Same shot and release and create offence off the rush! We can only hope it continues! |

What a refreshing B2B on the road that was to watch.
Sprong has me Sprung this eve.
With how effective Sprong and Simon look, if they can keep it up, this teams forward depth has risen considerably. How long is Rust out? |

From Yohe's Q & A on the Athletic....
Q: Give us your favorite story of Evgeni Malkin. — @LukasMancinii
A: It was 2011. Crosby was still out with the concussion and had been out for the better part of a year. There was a now infamous meeting in the Penguins' locker room. On one side stood Brooks Orpik, Jordan Staal, Craig Adams and Matt Cooke. Those four were exploring the possibility of naming someone else team captain until Crosby came back. On the other side of the debate were Marc-Andre Fleury, Malkin, Pascal Dupuis and Arron Asham. A rather heated discussion broke out. At the end, Malkin made his point clear: “Guys. Sid is the f****** captain.” Then he left the room. And the conversation was over. |

Just got around to reading Josh Yohe's Q&A on the Athletic. A question on Rust came up...
Q: What do we know about Rust’s injury? — @mike_israelson
A: I know very little, but I've been told it isn't good. I still believe there is optimism that he'd be back for the postseason, at least.

I do agree that some of them were really boneheaded but some of them would not be called a penalty like ever in the nhl. |

International hockey is always called like that. It took Canada 20 years to figure that out. I’d be pissed though too. Sweden played a great game. |
