To MTL:
Letang & Sheary
To PIT:
Pacioretty & Galchenyuk
All 4 players could use a change of scenery.
You know Bergevin would do that in a heartbeat. - Murphy_Dump
I doubt they send both to the same spot. Wouldn't get full value (ie:you trying to balance it with Sheary).
Maybe Letang for Patches straight up...

Who's gonna get the forwards the puck? Or are we just going to do the high off the glass Ron Hainsey 2016-17 playoffs plan all season long? |

random thought - whatever happened to Joni Pitkanen's attempt to return to the NHL? |

I don’t think Patches is enough for Letang. Side note to Bingo: I don’t know how many teams are even bidding for Kane. I can’t imagine it being too many with his history BUT Rutherford now has a history of taking on outcasts/projects ie Daly, Kessel, Schultz |

Letang is our strongest trade chip, he's a more expense Schultz at this point. - Murphy_Dump
Are we starting with this stuff again?
Letang will not be moved. |

Didn't work and now he's a Euro scout for Carolina. Doing a damn fine job of it too, by all accounts. |

since we frequently hear about Klim Kostin and the collossal mistake of the Reaves trade....
when that trade was made, I was more upset that we traded Sundqvist. Look how bad we need center depth, and he was a big body to boot. I just checked in on him and holy balls...he has 0 goals and 3 assists this year. I guess Pens were correct in souring on him...
So that means that Ryan Reaves, with 5 points , is crushing Sunqvist in the points category lol |

If the Pens tried a play like that, the Canes (or any opposing team), would have had their players attack the puck carrier NOT (frank)ING GLIDE BACK & WATCH WHAT THE (frank) HE DOES WITH THE PUCK!
No pressure on the opposing team. Allowing time & space evrytime. Teams must love playing the Pens.
(frank) the stats, how about the Pens just play some 'contact' hockey, & put pressure on the opposing players as they do to us! Process? How about (frank)ing BASICS! Eliminate time & space!!!! |

Who did we get for the pick that was the 1st round pick & Not that far after? I can't remember?
That would be Zachary Lauzon. Pick #51. So we traded 31 for 51? |

hockey is cruel cause when the legs are gone all sorts of things look out of sync. giving time and space and no pressure themselves are this years reality. accept it, play out the season, and move on. My opinion is that there is no magical trade that is going to bleed life into this group and automatically make them contenders. the crux of players that have gone B2b have low batteries. THat issue can not be fixed mid season. - HiSticking
The goal that Gunner has shown is a perfect example. The Dman glides back & lets (while being covered), the Canes player Aho do what he wants. That play could have been broken down had the Dman put pressure (physical) on Aho. Stop him or slow him down & enough Pens players are there to take control. That's not fatigue, that's a system issue giving the attack time & space. Had that been a Pens player attacking, the Canes Dman would have been all over us.
The Pens Dman was still skating, he was shadowing the Canes player, so there was effort. You can't call fatigue on that play, & from what I've seen, it happens all the time. No wonder our goalies are fighting for their analytical lives, the amount of time & space we give opposition teams is ridiculous. |

Sprong with sid...bout time...now keep him there for 10 games minimum sully.
Edit...amd Kessel gets his own line...also about time. |

Tough to play that game, we’ll have to see how the 2nd rounder pans out. However, I’ve heard good things about that Kostins guy |

Jars! That's a save MM doesn't make these days. |

Simon and Sprong look fresh. Reaves IS fresh (haha), Sheahan has fresh legs. Guentzel at center is concerning to me. I’m fine with Sheahan as our 3C this season but proven center insurance would be peachy
Simon-Sid-Sprong
Guentzel-Geno-Kessel
Sheary-Sheahan-Horny
Rust-Girgensons-Kuhn
How much could Buffalo possibly want for Girgs
Side note, Jarry looks good. Re-direct from the slot didn’t phase him one bit. It’s like he knew exactly where it was going. They just said he has a .948sv% over his last few games |

The Pens would be down a goal if that was on Murray. Great save. |
