I'm a big Dobson fan. Watch a lot of him with Bathurst, since that is Rubtsov's team. Kid is efficient and composed and consistent in all 3 zones as (frank). Not dynamic perse (like the top two d-men or Hughes), but a rock everywhere. He plays a heady, aggressive play driving game. Not unlike a Provy type, though they go about it differently. I'd have him as my 3rd d-man at the moment, followed shortly by Ty Smith. 5 doesn't sound like a reach to me. I have him there atm. But there's wiggle room with a winger like Tkachuk (top pair D often trumps top 6 winger). Given his CHL status, I do wonder if he can't surpass Boqvist too, who is a little more risk/reward. Few players go that high straight out of the J20s. Not saying that he should necessarily. We'll see if he sticks in Allsvenskan the rest of the year; does well might cement his spot. He does have a lot of Karlsson-esque qualities. It gets thrown around who is the "next Karlsson" (despite him being a god), and Dahlin is the best by far, but style-wise I mean he resembles him.

Kupari I saw at the Hlinka. We discussed. Top 10 skilled, but I have some question marks about his mental game and compete level. I wouldn't have him in my top 10 at the moment, but hopefully at the u18s at the end of the year I'll get a good viewing again.

I really like Farabee. I've seen a ton of him for the UNDP. Feel good about evaluating that team. I like him more than Wahlstrom, who can often feel lazy and disengaged out there, or force plays, or just take circuitous routes off the puck. He's frustrating because he probably has the talent to be in the discussion for 3/4 but there's something lacking. I'd say Farabee has "good" skill and skating, but maybe not your standout top 10 level, plus he is a smaller player who needs to gain weight. Fantastic smarts though, competes like hell, punches above his weight class in puck battles, and a kid that feels like more than the sum of his parts, compared to Wahlstrom who can feel like less. He maximizes his ability, and he is certainly skilled if it sounds like I'm short-selling him. If he goes 10-15, and I think there's a good chance he will, I think someone got a player they're going to really like. I'd have him somewhere like 9 myself atm.

Dawg, we talked about this already the other day. I liked him a lot from my Hlinka viewings. He's been doing well in Liiga, despite being one of the draft's younger players. Finnish fans seem to be really pleased with him there, so I like the corroboration. He's very very smart, big, can play center or wing, has a 2-way PWF skill-set, good shot, probably could clean up his skating a bit though tbh. Stood out to me though as one of the smartest players in the draft.

We don't have an official Finnish scout though (I'm sure they do cross-over stuff) and haven't drafted a Finn in like a decade. I think he's going very underrated, and I would definitely have him in my 8-12 range as far as rankings go. Where he actually goes, I can't say. Kupari has more hype.
