Yes it seems to have coincided with the key forward injuries. Maybe harder or new thing for him compensate to cover so many Sedin and Gagner gaffs.
- Nuck4U

His defensive game is still weak, plus outside of Tanev, none of the vet dmen can really anchor a pairing and hold the fort.

I would take that zadina kid if hes available.
- Bettmanhatesus

I like him but not picking D is a problem.
The Oilers & Leafs know that so why do the Preds pick D & always have been more than solid back there? Never can have enough D.
Wingers don’t win cups. If top 6 C’s r not available top 4 D is always a good bet.

I havent see Zadorov in the top 5 of any mock draft, and tkachuk has been in and out on many boards too. So I`m suggesting both will be top5 after the tourney. Svechnikov may move down, not sure about him as his injury before WJC and him not playing much this year.

Edit: Zadina, these zed names get me every time.

Number 4 on this list is Zadina

Zadina yeah he’s been up with Tkachuck see this one:

I do like Zadina over Tkachuck as I see him as only a winger for NHL. But agree need to see more of healthy Svenchikov to see where that goes.

For sure. But his strength is puck moving and offensive pressure. Only D man capable of carrying the puck to the net and scoring right now among group. Totally want him over Edler in PP1 to feed BB.

His Defensive play though did fall to Stecher like and mistake prone Hutton. But that decline seems to be the factors mentioned and with Tanev back could help rebound improvement.

Well it's already a year and a half late, sooo maybe never

Stecher is crap, worse than crap, but he scored last game so I'm sure his stock has risen with some here..

Stetcher looked like a Tyson Barrie type dman during the first 30 games or so last year and hasn’t been the same since so it’ll be interesting to see if the same thing happens with DP.

Hutton’s best season was his rookie season as well.

Both are wingers (according to sportsnet and where they play in the WJC), we need LW more which is Tkachuk. I think most on this thread know I want the big kid to come in and stir the drink, I`m sure I`m not the only one. Haven`t had a guy like that since Bert, IMO we need that in our top 6 again. Zadina is winning me over though and honestly, I`ll be happy with another top5 pick either way as this looks like a solid draft group to me.

A top 5 pick is not a proper way to rebuild man. I’m hoping for a pick in the 8-13 range. Higher odds of moving up and more wins.

I did.
He should have been in Utica 2 years ago with Stetcher. I'm sure they are no longer waiver excempt but it's disappointing to see them regress and struggle.

JV plays either wing.
JG is a RW though.
Forgoing picking a D will delay us.

Agree we need that LW scoring toughness. Why signing E. Kane could help. Among the holes Top D hardest to fill right now other then draft. Order of Preference Dahlin, Boqvist, Dobson, Bouchard.

Though Gadjo may be that powerfoward net front guy for Canucks. Could be elevated like a Lucic or Maroon to top 6, playing with talented Center, maybe EP?

No doubt. Hopefully he finishes the season strong, he might need a game in the press box as a wakeup call though.

Yes. The beat down you get as a Canuck D does sag that sas they had in their games. Was hoping under TG system they would pick it up but those key injuries piling up just doesn’t help.
