Both. Or the fact they paid 200 for their seats only to watch the Canucks lay an egg...

Put a polish on that turd
- A_SteamingLombardi

as long as Jim doesnt think he's finally reaching his potential and decides to keep him, polish that turd and put him on the shelf after tonight until you find a buyer

Two friends were talking about going over for this game last night at an open house, they have the money to blow.

You were on the right path with your previous observation until you got sidetracked by woodpile hyperbole. Guddy would be playing like that for a bigger contract number not to get traded.

After Green blew up at Nilsson, to stop the effen puck and he pulls a performance like that, i bet he goes straight to Benning office as tells him to get rid of that guy.

Then why wasn't he playing like that before? you think he just started playing better because he can now negotiate?

You'll have to explain woodpile hyperbole to me so I can stay on the right path, I'd hate to be wrong on Hockeybuzz

Whitelie's observation noted hearing the contract number offered Guddy needed to step up that part of his game now.

Here's how I'd expect the meeting went...

Gudbranson: Hi Jim, I want all the money

Jim: We are prepared to offer you this little amount only

Gudbranson: No, I would like to make more

Jim: We will not pay you that much, sounds like youre not going to take our best offer. I will start looking for trading partners...

{a few hours later}

Jim: Hi Erik, not many people want you right now. Please play better to give us more options

The End.

path as in train of thought you had dude.... but if "polishing a turd" isn't hyperbole then maybe I should try adding that perspective to the puffery blown out from the woodpile....

I understood you meant train of thought, I just question why you said I was no longer having the right train of thought and then dismissed my post as distracted by hyperbole

Not to mention it was clearly a metaphor. ASL could have gone with lipstick on a pig, or coat of paint on a teardown, he went with polishing a turd to describe the situation

Wow Vegas just keeps rolling along, another win tonight against Nashville. Team's might start asking themselves how McPhee came up with that list of players and if it was really his intention to have a fast team like that.

I hope Jimbo's paying attention, in terms of what some speed in today's game can do for you, along with good goaltending.
