Why the Canucks don't sign him I don't understand, Vancouver media have been trying to railroad him out for a year. Gudbranson should be locked up long term. Of coarse he isn't a big ticket player. 2.5 per year and make him part of the core long term as a character guy. No one gets out of line when he's on the ice, he commands respect from the opponent. He's a playoff type guy, was Florida's best Dman in there playoff appearance. Its very short sighted for Canucks to trade him just because he isn't an offensive guy they dreamed of. Canucks will regret this just like when they let Willie Mitchell go. Apparently the players were very upset when he left Flordia. Who wouldn't want a guy like that going to battle with you.
