Dude, you did I’m not making this up out of thin air, and I don’t really care either. I used to say Myers was better than P.K. Subban.

My point is this -

It’s not Risto’s fault
It’s not O’Reilly’s fault
It’s not Kane’s fault
It’s not Eichel’s fault

Yet we are 30th, and those guys are constantly playing.

I think the core, specifically Ristolainen and O’Reilly are not as good as their reputation. I think Risto is barely a top 4 D man, and O’Reilly is just an everyday 2nd line center who gets deployed like he’s Bergeron. I think Eichel is great, I think Kane has been excellent this year

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

For a guy who was a year away from unrestricted free agency to sign / extend with the worst team in the league. That has to factor into "overpayment"
