Sutter can score 20 goals. He can shut down top lines. Get him decent line mates. At one point Dorsett Sutter was the best line this year. When the young guys start clicking you need Sutter.

I hope Pettersson and Gaudette can translate their games to the NHL like Boeser has! Down the middle.

They replace him with Gaudette next season. Bo, sedin, granlund, Gagner, Gaunce, Gaudette. Center is not a problem. The problem is long term center depth if Petterson is a winger. If so can use a pick this year or next to grab one in the draft.

Loose the contract pick up picks.

Its time clean house and load up on picks for once. Then use free agency to fill any holes.

Vanek and Guddy are probably easier to move to pick up picks. But the only thing left to clean house with are the Sedins retiring. Plus if Gaudette and EP are making the team next season then Sutter will be needed to break them in by taking the hard minutes.

Granlund, Gagner and Gaunce are wingers at the NHL level. But are a back up option for center. Why you don't go with any of them the whole season.

Imagine if, with both Horvat and Sven out, and no Vanek, who would Brock be playing with? Megna? Chaput?! I understand the importance of not finishing 9th (or even 8th for that matter), but you need to set up your younger players for success and part of that is ensuring they have at least some talent.

This is going to be really unpopular - but I would hate see Vanek gone at the TDL for a a small return - particularly if good young players are going to get saddled playing with career AHLers. I think he is more valuable to the younger players over the last two months that is more valuable than a 4th or 5th rounder. I wouldn't mind seeing Vanek play with Goldobin once Brock gets elevated back to the first line when Horvat is back.

However, if someone wanted to offer something ridiculous (a second, or dare I dream, a first?!) for Vanek, you run with it and let your kids watch Megna and Chaput teach them how not to play in the league.
