I know they got 3 cups but man its awesome knowing that the Blackhawks are completely faked going forward and in a steady decline now. If y'all want some laughs head over to their thread and enjoy the hysteria.
Toews is already worse than the Sedins and he's 29, making 10.5mil for the next 5 years!!!
Seabrook = horrific, 1 g this year - 6.8mil for the next 6 years and he's 32!
Keith - 5.5mil for th e next 5 years and he's 34
you guys think we got some bad contracts = those are immovable mountains - Brooks_Light
No worries they'll phase them out by developing allergies to those contracts to go on LTIR. So with cap space will sign younger free agents like a JT, EK, Doughty or E. Kane etc.. You know so they keep the Cup theme going. |

Imagine if, with both Horvat and Sven out, and no Vanek, who would Brock be playing with? Megna? Chaput?! I understand the importance of not finishing 9th (or even 8th for that matter), but you need to set up your younger players for success and part of that is ensuring they have at least some talent.
This is going to be really unpopular - but I would hate see Vanek gone at the TDL for a a small return - particularly if good young players are going to get saddled playing with career AHLers. I think he is more valuable to the younger players over the last two months that is more valuable than a 4th or 5th rounder. I wouldn't mind seeing Vanek play with Goldobin once Brock gets elevated back to the first line when Horvat is back.
However, if someone wanted to offer something ridiculous (a second, or dare I dream, a first?!) for Vanek, you run with it and let your kids watch Megna and Chaput teach them how not to play in the league. - Fisticus
You are right, if the return is trash for Vanek bring him back on another one year deal. He has been a real bright spot this season. |

I don't get the criticism . People rip Guddy and Sutter. Teams score goals and top players get the bulk of the scoring. Those two get the tough assignments Canucks win 3-2 and they get roasted |

Liking Vanek's play is further proof of his success and likely good return by TDL. With Sven, Bo and Sutter back there is plenty of talent for young guys to develop off and move Vanek. Even if they all get injured long term again this season, lighting striking twice, you will see Goldy and Boucher playing over Megna and Chaput.

Nothing wrong with insulating the young players with capable vets like Vanek, nor is it a bad thing to have them spend some time in Utica, if they arent yet ready.

I was wondering when the tide would turn and the 'trade Vanek at TDL' talk would shift to re-signing him.
I guess a 5pt night will do that |

debatable.
I like Vanek myself, he just strikes me as more of a hired gun that moves around like Jagr.

Can I be in the trade at deadline and then re-sign in off-season camp? Or do we have to choose one or the other.😁 |

i'm not big on re-signing any of Henrik, Daniel or Tomas.
I'm just saying that you can't say one is an open and shut case for making more sense than the other, if they were to re-sign for a similar $$
Henrik 38GP 2 24 26 pts
Tomas 38GP 12 16 28 pts
Daniel 38GP 8 16 24 pts |
