As compared to what? He has 3 less points in 37games this year than he did in 71games for MN last year. He's 7th on our team in total shots (producing more than Pouliot, Girgs and Reinhart who all saw top6 time). 2nd on the team in ATOI. Plays penalty kill a lot and has gotten us up to 11th this year on the PK.

He isn't a scorer. Never was or will be. So if we were hoping for a 50+ pt defender, he was the wrong one to bring in. I think he's done about as well as can be expected given the amount of minutes and PK he plays.

kid put up 89 points in the first 2 full seasons which is not bad

lack of leadership from others, bringing in pommer for a rw slot and trying the skunk as a 3rd line center is a big part of his drop off

as is no motivation for the kid to now play for this team

I would think bonuses in his contract would be a motivation or the fact that he is trying to earn a bigger contract for the future.

He has scored 27 goals in the past 7 seasons...he doesn't score, nor will he. He was brought in to be the defensive defenseman Risto needed to shine. Now Risto is skating around standing up while Scandella picks up the pieces in both corners. I'm not saying he's fast, that he's untouchable, or that he's some superstar...but he's a long way off from being just a 5-6 defender that you mentioned.

If it's solely built down the middle than why sign kane? Why was ekblad picked first? Why is dahlin ranked #1: this year?

Hannan has an all time free pass with that 4ot goal.
Hawrchuk faded in the playoffs for sure

I agree , but still like risto. He can be a great point producing, minute eating #2 defenseman for years to come.

I have to see one more movie to get diamond status for Regal theaters this year...
My choices are limited since I've watched all the good movies already.

Thinking about seeing the following:
1. Molly's Game
2. All the Money in the world
3. Downsizing
4. The Shape of Water

Which one of the above would you recommend?

Well - Zemgus did make a play (with Jack and Scandella assisting), as did Okposo (with Kane). On that play, ROR forced the turnover at center ice and passed to Kane. If the game was in Buffalo he would have gotten the secondary assist.

I didn't blame just Nolan. I said Kane should have buried his other breakaway chance, and Rienhart failed on a beauty opportunity. But I guess the high end guys need to do more and Nolan gets a pass for pumping a breakaway INTO HALAKS EFFING PADS.

I hope they sign kane. Maybe middlestadt is ready next year. Maybe nylander figures it out.

See if they can trade reinhart for something of worth and get one of the young guys in here from rocha who can skate and score close to the same rate as him (bailey). If he isnt going to play with eichel then I dont think he has a spot here.
