ill actually rephrase since its not dumb to want him to not whine

what i saw a lot was "his whining is making the team worse"

i would vote for complaining about eichel's body language as the dumbest thing you can possibly type
- robz228

I would say nicknaming reinhart skunk is pretty close to the top.

It started because posters thought he sucked or stunk at hockey.

He then was giving the name to defend him and some how prove that he was good.

He is horrible. The posters that thought he stunk, were indeed correct.

it's nolan's fault we stink

Risto's career average is 0.39 ppg. This year he is at 0.32 ppg.

Maybe its the Power Play... Because after all special teams don't matter, right?

He is not having a good season
- Boss34

As compared to what? He has 3 less points in 37games this year than he did in 71games for MN last year. He's 7th on our team in total shots (producing more than Pouliot, Girgs and Reinhart who all saw top6 time). 2nd on the team in ATOI. Plays penalty kill a lot and has gotten us up to 11th this year on the PK.

He isn't a scorer. Never was or will be. So if we were hoping for a 50+ pt defender, he was the wrong one to bring in. I think he's done about as well as can be expected given the amount of minutes and PK he plays.

actually he was the toy under the bed, since we got a bright new toy in Jack

that is what led to reinhart being named skunk

kid put up 89 points in the first 2 full seasons which is not bad

lack of leadership from others, bringing in pommer for a rw slot and trying the skunk as a 3rd line center is a big part of his drop off

as is no motivation for the kid to now play for this team

something happened in columbus, it all started south after the "benching"

Botts did say when he arrived that it would take him most of the season to fully evaluate the team.
I don’,t think he anticipated this level of incompetence, nor did he expect the injury bug to the D to be assignificant.
So I didn’t expect many trades until closer to the deadline myself.

I gotta believe by now he has a pretty solid picture in his mind of what this team is.
Many overpaid players for their current level of production.
He has to dump salary on several in order to right this ship...Okposo, Pommer, Bogo would huge steps, I’d take 2 of those 3.
Then capitalize on Kane trade.
Get rid of Reinharts lazy ass.

- IonSabres

I agree, jbotts wasn't rushing to change anything. He was fine with losing to gain a better draft position. I can't believe the "experts" do not see this season for what it is.

The nhl formula hasn't changed.
High end talent wins in the nhl
Draft high end talent
High end talent is more likely at the top of the draft
Try and pick early if you are not serious contender.

How many rookies score 80+ points over their first two seasons? How many of them stink?

He's playing poorly. Lacks effort atm. Don't confuse that with complete lack of skill.

I expected players like risto, okposo, reinhart, ror to have numbers get better this year, not worse

it's a vexing situation

Excellent information.
Coaching change might also play a role in the drop off. This whole 5 man rushing unit.

I don't understand why you have the #1 power play and change anything. Same guys as last year...but new coach means he has to change everything about the scheme. That was/is/will be silly.
