What's this coming from? I know Kane is as good as gone, but is there sudden interest in Pouliot?
- sskkoo1

Interested in moving him for a pick on the sabres behalf.
Someone will want him. Another nhl veteran.
He has playoff size and a touch of scoring

If weber got us a 3rd, gorges is going to get us a 3rd. Some team will want a veteran like him down the stretch. He's perfect as a 6/7
- Boss34

Gentleman's bet. I'll wager that he gets a 5th rounder or less. Game on?

Feel free to decline. Just thought might be fun.

I agree, and when he has played here on the bottom pairing he has been pretty decent. Further, he can move up the lineup in the event of injuries. In my mind he is a perfect asset for a playoff team. I hope he does well and his team wins...unless it is the Bruins, or Leafs, or Sens ( no chance they make it), or , or, or... lol!

Gorges is a try hard guy, hard to find fault in that. Especially considering the lack of try hard guys on this current team.

Wish we had him when the sabres lost to Carolina in the conference finals

he isn't even that anymore. The guy has lost a step and compensates by having overly dramatic net front battles against fourth liners. Instead of exerting 10x the energy thats actually needed, just tie him up and lift the stick paul bunyon. There's a difference between try hard and just flat out inefficient bordering on useless.

He's still trying hard, to the best of his ability.

The game passed him bye, to some degree.

He didn't make the nhl on skill, speed or scprint prowess. He made it on effort, shot blocking and positioning.

Not trying to pick a fight, but why is effort only brought up on this board in regard to players who aren't good?

I should say, why is the attribute of effort only assigned to those who aren't good

It bugs me that guys like Nolan, girgs and gorges tend to get compliments of heart, effort and a "they gave it their all" effort, but those attributes aren't given to Risto who sometimes plays 30 mins a night, or ROR with 20 mins a night never get those kudos.

Somehow slogging through 10 minutes of play is a positive

I bring it up as opposed to the skilled sabres that lack effort. Silent sam lacks effort, but has skills. Or a one point did.
Gorges lacks skills but has effort.

Did anyone watch the 1st episode of the outdoor game. Gorges is in the locker room showing leadership. It was refreshing.

I'm sure she will thank you for your very thoughtful contribution to the ease with which she completes the housekeeping chores. Women just love those gifts.

Maybe for her birthday you can buy her a new ironing board.

She complains all the time in the phone the vacuum is to heavy

So I got her the light weight Dyson V8 stick

Am I the only one that thinks that’s nice ?

Ror and Risto both show heart. I have no problem with their effort.
Not sure if either is overachieving.
Risto $5.4
Ror $7.5
I just assimilate with players that work hard to stay in the nhl. The gifted guys who have the god given talent but somehow do not maximize their opportunities, is super disappointing.
And I know :
Gorges isn't worth $4 a year

Seriously. The only guys who deserve more than their salaries this year are probably Kane and Pouliot

So Larsson, girgs, wilson, nolan and pominville with a combined 15 points isn't a problem?

Not to mention the failed trio of Moulson Criscuolo and griffith
