I think maybe they want a big trade, too.

As we've discussed in the past, I'm not sure a trade fixes this roster.

Just like that bit of mindless garbage. PP gets flushed because they're playing with their heads up their asses. This team is mentally fried.

I agree, but the writing is on the wall. JR coming out and saying what he said is as good as him saying it's certain.

Oh I think it's a certainty, but our best players rarely play a full game and you can't fix that.

Ha, well if you do it again, remember you need to muddle it with spoon to dissolve the sugar.

If they refuse to admit their mistakes (reaves and hunwick) does a trade really matter? They had a blueprint for back to back cups and completely abandoned it. Now they are just being stubborn playing reaves under 5 minutes a game...

Trading cole and sheary or hornqvist doesn't change the nonsense 4th line we are dressing.

Is it Reaves fault the top 3 lines can't score ?

Those are obvious mistakes (gawd I hate Hunwick), but Sid played that period like he took a handful of valium. No way to win with him playing a period like that.

Yup, the giveaways are atrocious. And no one wants to take shots in the slot. Skate to the slot and force a blind no look pass to no one.

I think that the Pens inability to roll 4 lines puts more pressure on the top 3 lines to score. The lack of ice time the 4th line sees means less favorable matchups on a game to game basis for the top line or 2.

+1

Cullens line was eating ~10-12 minutes a night and the other team had to be aware of that line. No one gives a poop about our 4th line plus we barely play them anyway so top 2 lines get tougher matchups and play more minutes which isn't sustainable

Crosby and Letang both played uninspired hockey tonight. I think This team is mentally exhausted. Does anybody else get sick of seeing Letang shoot the puck right into the defense.

Although, tonight it may have been their best line....geez. You might have to start questioning if the biggest mistake was letting Botterill walk and holding onto GMJR. Start questioning who really put together the cup rosters.

Ehhh at the moment they don't play that much more. They are still around their season average but I'd probably wager they get more defensive zone starts and the 4th line sees more offensive zone starts to try and shelter them. That's just guessing. Playing PUBG so I don't feel like looking at the numbers at the moment.

Crosby and Malkins offensive zone starts are basically the same as last year. They're both less than 1% difference than last year

Letang is terrible at hitting the net from the point. It's wide or into shins constantly. This is why JS is our pp qb now and is sorely missed. Letang is absolute trash this year. There are a lot of passengers on this team. Rust sheary Geuntzel hags...none of these players can make anything happen on their own. And misery loves company with these guys too. Ppl whining about sid or phil or geno need to realize that there are 9 other forwards on this team literally doing eff all. Sids line spends 85% of the time in the d zone and I still say it's all sheary..but l will add rust and jake and whatever young plug they put him with. This line is constantly matched up with the other teams best..and 2/3s of that line is always ill equipped to that task.
