What a stud - willschulme
was a terrible softie by Miller. saw it all the way. |

It's easy to forget how bad John Moore is with Lovejoy being out of the lineup a bunch now. We get one more defenseman for this lineup in the offseason and we're looking real good on the back end. - Pomegrant
Don’t ever confuse it. John Moore is a terrible defenseman and the sooner we get a left hand shot top 4 Dman the better. |

I see a lot of fans getting mad about Vatanen, but being stuck with Moore is really killing him. He can't get anything offensive going because Moore is always up in the play making bonehead plays and Vats gets stuck covering. It's awful. Moore is such an anchor. |

Agreed. I think the right side is pretty good with Vatanen, Severson and Santini. It’s the left side with Moore, a getting up there in years Greene and Butcher I worry about. |

Butcher reminds me of Niedermayer a lot. Great skater and obviously offensively gifted. Sometimes gets himself into trouble but his skating can make up for it. Not going to be overly physical but has good stick work for defense. The offense was advertised, but pleasantly surprised by his defense.
Greene has be decent to bad this year. Reducing his minutes will be good in the long run. Past couple of seasons eating huge minutes have caught up to him. I think he can still be good in a smaller role though. Once you replace Moore the six looks pretty good. |

I've been talking up Noesen for a bit now. Reminds me of when we had Ryan Carter. Love the effort he puts out there. |

Not much bad you can say, especially after he took a rough shot to the ankle a few minutes before. |

We need somebody in this division to go on a slide. Big divisional game against the Rangers on Thursday too. |

Once healthy a Wood-Coleman-Noesen line could be the 4th line we’ve missed since 2012. Hopefully Stafford gets the seat in the press box, the guy really brings nothing at this point. |

I hate to jinx it, but Pitts playoff prospects look kinda dismal. |

I always thought Butcher was just an average skater. He doesn't appear to have great top speed or even acceleration to my eyes. |

He was pretty much benched in the 3rd, I think. Hopefully gone with Johansson back in.

I never underestimate Malkin-Crosby to carry that lackluster team. They'll be .500 all year and then the two of them will go on a tear and bring it back. |

next game, watch just him skate. he has insane side-to-side movement which is how he gets around guys so easily. He doesn't have insane top speed but very strong skater. |

His speed is decent, but he consistently makes smart plays and passes so accurate compared to the rest of the dmen we have. Every time Moore turns back with the puck I’m waiting for him to throw a no look centering pass to an opposing forward, guy is a turnover machine. |

That's all true, but that second goal was a bad play by butcher. Didn't take pass or shot |

It was, but he's a 22 year old with around 30 NHL games under his belt, going to make some ugly mistakes from time to time. John Moore on the other hand is a former first rounder on his 4th team. I'm hoping he will be on his 5th soon. |

Yeah trust me I wasn't defending Moore I might be the only guy who dislikes him more Tha you. Thinking it's gotta be mojo for stafford on thurs. Zacha was great again tn. Colman honestly hasn't been as good as he was and he's taken a few pims last few so maybe he's a dark horse for mojo |

But you rip on Stafford? Yes he has been struggling at finishing, but for a no risk contract he shores up the bottom 6 nicely. One of the hardest workers and generates chances. Plus more points than Ryan Carter could ever produce. |
