I see that as being a reasonable ask considering his current production and league trends.

That being said, I sure as poop hope Snow doesn’t pony that much up. Though he might if JT wants Bailey back in his own extension considerations.

Funny thing is jt wanted him on the line and knew what he could do

Hard to say but is it weight or the fact they have played together? They are second in points as a line this year behind stamkos line by 5 points and have played 100 less minutes together. I believe msg put that out

Edit
Courtesy of Corsica hockey and my friend, Reagan King, the Islanders top line of Tavares, Lee and Bailey are second in the NHL as a combination with 38 goals, only five behind the Lightning top trio, but with almost 100 fewer minutes played together

That’s (frank)ing impressive.

Funny but also concerning. Do you think JT tells Snow that if Bailey doesn’t get extended, he’ll test FA? Does JT have that kinda pull?

The isles have put up with Bailey being a non factor for his first 7 years and never decided to dump him. Although I doubt it never hapoens, I'm kinda hoping Garth can extend him to a 6x6million contract. Probably won't happen since this will be his first/last big pay day. But it would be phenomenal if Garth could pull that off.

Well that’s what Eberle makes, so Snow could use that as a comparison. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Bailey hit 70 points this year, and that was Eberle’s best as well.

They'll do anything to keep JT happy and make sure he stays. In the end, yes he does have that pull, although they would never openly admit that.

I was worried about that. Here’s hoping both are reasonable in the negotiations going forward.

There is a lot of season left but Bailey is on pace for 99.4 points. If that continues I don't see him settling for less than $7+ mill per year. We'll see what happens - it's not even the half way point yet.

Had a pleasant 30 seconds with a man named Ledecky at the game the other night, says they have a BILLION (insert Austin Powers reference here) dollars at the ready, I said maybe during the State of the State speech, the reply I hope so. So nothing out of that really, but he seems to attend every home game, just sayin.

Oh its going to be at the state of the state, the rumor is three weeks and thats the right time frame. also Cuomo wants to run for president so giving a major project in nyc to Americans and not a team half owned by foreigners is a feather in his cap for job creation ect. Also that whole group probably has a billion dollars ready to go I just hope they win it so the isles dont leave and that its like the new practice rink and even the additions they made to the room at barclays. a legitimate first class arena and practice facility to show these nhl f.a. would go a long way and also to keep players that need to resign.

Wrong! you do not break up one of the top 3 lines in the nhl right now, what does that tell jt? Bailey is staying all season I still think they need to go for it this year as he can leave as well as other guys like dehann and ladd and boychuk arent getting younger

barzal will win calder even if boeser healthy.
Boeser cant score enought goals to keep up with barzals assists.

goals are always weighted more heavily than assists and boeser had less support. would be interesting to see them both healthy also barzal is down to 1 point in 4 games

I've just accepted the fact it's going to NYCFC. I refuse to get my hopes up. It would be the most Long Island and most NYI thing that could possibly happen. The complete opposite of what everyone wants.

"Kieffer Bellows, F, Portland (WHL): Bellows (6-0, 199) said he is learning what he needs to do to be successful at the next level in his first season with the Winterhawks under coach Mike Johnston. He has 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) and a plus-22 rating in 31 games for Portland. Johnston, who was coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2014-15, has focused on Bellows' play in the defensive zone and puck protection on offense. Chosen in the first round (No. 19) of the 2016 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders, Bellows, 19, is a power forward with a goal-scorer's mentality."
