Canucks have been ahead of the Flames for most of the season, have 2 more ROW'S then the Flames and are a mere 1 point behind the Flames in the Standings after a 4 game losing streak, and could be 1 point ahead tonight. So whats Calgarys excuse. In the sense of the word "team" I argue the Canucks are a better "team" in the truest sense of the word. despite injuries there are equal to Calgary in the Standings? Canucks have better team structure it appears with not as good a goalie, with better goals against and special teams. Does that mean the Canucks are a better"team" and the Flames have perhaps a few better top end players or a healtier roster with better goalie? But not as good a team. I submit the Flames are closer to the Canucks as a team in terms of quality as they are in a rebuild and injured as the Flames fans want to admit. There both non playoff teams. The Flames arnt a contender nor are the Canucks. This isn't the Flames underachieving, or bad luck, there just not a playoff team based on merit same as Canucks.

I may be in the minority, but I still don't think there's any reason to fire Gully. We're playing good hockey at 5v5 abd have been for a while now, and I think Gulutzan deserves a lot of credit for that. Our PP has been struggling a lot since Versteeg's injury but that's probably more on Cameron than it is on Gully.

Vegas is getting lucky, but they're playing good hockey as well. Probably not as good as their record, but not as bad as some people think either. Marchessault is a beast.
