Do yourself a favor, don't watch 2, and stay the absolute (frank) away from 3.

I am not sure if Risto is a #1, #2 or #3. However, I am sure that the first 10 seconds of "Whole Lotta Love" is one of the finest intros to any song - ever.

Eichel actually started shooting from all over early in the second and he dominated. He must've been tired of giving grade A opportunities to his linemates who rarely finish.

Kane is good because of his speed, grit and shoot first style. He can accept an Eichel pass but his hands are made of stone. He can't read or create a play and his passing ability rivals that of a squirt A player. He's valuable late in the play, that's it.

Pouliout - I've made my view of him very clear from day 1

Reinhart is good with Eichel because he's smart enough to always give the puck to him. He reads the play well and has the skill to direct plays, but lacks the speed to generate anything on his own.

Nylander MIGHT have the speed Kane brings and the skill set Reinhart brings to compliment Jack. I'm ready to see that combo

I know that Jbotts is pumping up Kane and Pouliots value and I'm hoping they're gone as of yesterday so we can see what's on deck, I'm over this current experiment.

Finish the year like this:

Nylander Eichel Reinhart

Smith O'rielly Okposo

Wilson E rod Pominville

Fasching Josefson Girgs

Larsson/Nolan

Mike Hoffman may be on the trade block

signed for 2 more years

is it worth it?

if there is no lock out, probably as I think he would be good with jack

Im not sure, he would probably stifle Jack’s production, lol!

Actually, his Age/Production/Salary line’s up fairly well, assuming that Kane is a goner.
Price to acquire would be the key to the deal.

1) I didn’t say anything about Risto being better than Keith

You went there ALL on your own

2) My point about ROR (NOT RISTO) was that Toews had more support

You really think ROR wouldn’t have been better if he was playing on a line with Saad & Hossa?
PLEASE

3) and to your last point...
Chicago has no depth NOW
My point about ROR said “THESE PAST FEW YEARS”
Clearly meaning,
when Chicago had lots of depth

My point was ONLY about ROR & Toews switching

Yeah, Chicago’s Top end players are better than ours
That helps my argument that ROR would be more productive if he was on Chicago
(Again, these past few years)...

Would it not?

You have such a freaking hard on against our players that...

1) u either missed “the past few years” part or just ignored it bc it didn’t fit the narrative of your argument

**you even admitted that depth matters**

Which was my SOLE POINT in saying that ROR would’ve been more productive “these last few years”
Yes, I keep repeating that to make sure u get what I’m trying to say

2) and brought Risto into it, comparing him to Keith when I made absolutely ZERO mention of ANY comparison between the 2
And again,
saying Keith is way better just shows that Toews had had WAY better support

- jdfitz77

Didn’t O’Reilly have “support” playing on a line with Landeskog and Duchene for two years or nah? He’s produced pretty much the same

Yeah, when he was 22
It was one season though, not 2
The next, they shuffled the lines quite a bit (to my memory)
Where’s that AVs fan when we need him?

And...
surprise, surprise...

It was his BEST season!!!

28g-36a-64pts

I’m curious...
can u look up his Off Zone starts for that year as well?
I’ll bet they were also a lot better than now

His production and salary are effectively the same as Kane on a PPG basis, and Salary is similar. So by extension, anyone who wants to retain Kane but doesn’t want to pay him in the $7m range for 6 or 7 years, it makes sense to seek him.
He is 2 years older, but has less wear and tear on him from a games played perspective.

How about Reino? Maybe a 3rd / 2nd??

I’d rather just keep Kane,
or try to sign JvR or Neal even
None of that will cost us Reinhart +

Hoffman & Jack could be quite the combo
Although it also depends how Botts envisions guys like Nylander & Mittelstadt working out...
are they Jack’s future wingers?

Well, I do like Kane and think he would be a stud playoff performer given his style.
But, consensus on price and term expected is likely going to price him out here...at least I think so. Therefore you get his replacement and get to test drive him for 2 years. Reino isn’t adding much value here anymore especially away from Jack, so hanging on to him isn’t in my plan anymore.

Those guys a still very young, would be awesome to see them both develop as hoped. So sure, maybe, but maybe not as well. I think they are both 2019 entries rather than next year.

Hoffman is cheaper than Kane will be, and has been more consistent.

I’d rather save the 2+ mil to get an equal player

Yeah but then you're giving up assets to acquire him

What is more important

Kane and the assets

or Hoffman at $2 million cheaper than Kane without the assets?

Edit: Unless you're talking about trading the assets you get by trading Kane to acquire Hoffman but I think Hoffman will cost more than those assets acquired in the potential Kane trade.

What I’m saying the assets acquired in the Kane trade = assets given up to Hoffman.

If we get a 1st, prospect, 2nd for Kane then I’d trade the 1st for Hoffman.

If that doesn’t get it done, I’d move on

Haha I just edited my post to include the assets acquired in the potential Kane trade.

However I think Hoffman will cost more

Edit: However if you think Hoffman can be had for a late first and that's all it cost then by all means turn Kane into Hoffman a prospect and a 2nd
