Maybe so, but it is a business and you need to ice a team until the next wave. Without these place holders the roster looks a lot like the end of the year last year with Boucher, Megna, Chaput, Zelewski and Drew Shore.

It's easy to find space fillers in UFA without giving up picks/prospects. Look at this summer.

This "age gap" thing was the stupidest thing ive ever heard.. You want vets then sign a few average guys as UFAs or pick some up off the waiver wire. Dont be trading away picks for waiver players and scraps.

They assembled throw offs from every team and are better than us .

I don't think Benning should come back

- VANTEL

Can we fold the team and get expansion and get gifted players for nothing maybe that makes everyone happy

I'd call 28 a vet and not in the low 20's.

You are frisky today. You and Lefty smell blood in the water I see. The times that this team reaches it's depth capacity in crazy runs of injuries always has you guys swimming closer to shore. When the team is healthy you guys are reluctantly in the dark depths out of sight.

Their best players have been their leading scorers...

Marchessault - never drafted
Neal - 2nd round pick
Williams - 2nd round pick
Perron - 1st round pick 26th overall
Smith - 3rd round pick
Haula - 7th round pick

God forbid we should ever be able to select those kinds of players in the draft.

I'm actually stuck at home because my wife wanted our master bedroom bathroom renovated so I'm stuck in the house with the contractors, I feel like a caged animal, I can't go anywhere.

Every team goes through it at some point, Pens led the league last year in man games lost ( I think ) and still won the Cup.
