Brouwer most definitely is a bust. I'm not a fan of GG but it's not really fair to blame him for playing the guy with an $18 million contract. BT should be owning much of the dysfunction this team is going through.

People need to give Brouwer a break. Everyone seems to bring him up after every game while ignoring the actual problems the team has. He's playing much better than last year and has been fairly effective in his role. He's not a detriment to the team on the ice at all.

Yes, he makes too much money and it didn't work out bringing him in to be a top six guy, but there's really no reason to complain about him after every game. He's no Wideman.

I don't really blame Brouwer for being a 4th liner. I blame the organization for tying up $4.5 million on a fourth liner. If this was the only bad move by BT i'd say fine but the bad moves are starting to add up.

Limited minutes on the 4th while playing the PP may just be the way to maximize Jagr's value. See Sam Gagner last year in CBJ. Brilliant.

It's still amazing to me how important Versteeg was to our PP. This has been just brutal. Yet another game where we're outplaying the opposition and so far have nothing to show for it.

IMO March is a pretty poopty time of year unless you want to hit the slopes. But if you are into that sort of thing I would take a weekend and check the snow forecast and hit whatever hill around Banff, Golden, or Revelstoke is getting some Pow.
