Say goodbye to Freddie Galvis; Phils sent him to SD for a 21 year old AA pitching prospect

Phils traded Galvis for a 21 yr old righty to the Padres for Enyel De Los Santos.

"150 innings over the life of 26 appearances (24 starts) and averaged 8.3 K/9 against 2.9 BB/9 with a 44.2 percent ground-ball rate en route to a 3.78 ERA."

I can deal with it. Rosenthal and others were saying this kid would be top 10 in most other teams' systems, top 5 in some. But SD is loaded

Neshek too. Bullpen should be solid enough to not be a liability, maybe even a strength. If the offense is as good or better than last year they might not be in too bad of shape

I'm not even sure you could say they had a rough start. Apart from their atrocious penalty killing that has cost them some games they are an above average team and have played so.

Lets review a bit, The Flyers have had 11 defense men on the roster so far and 10 have played games. Of the eleven on the roster, 6 have been rookies and the 5 (FIVE) to have played have been rookies. Hagg, Sanhiem, Morin, Alt, and O'Neil have played and Brennen got to watch from the Cote suite. The last three are all 26 or older and still have maybe 10 total games in the NHL. AMac out hurt and Gudas was out for ten games and those two had some over lap being out at the same time. The "D" played well before all the injuries and are starting to play well again. Sanhiem is getting the benefit of Manning being dinged because there really is no one to play over him. His game is getting better. Keep in mind what he did last year once he scored his first goal.
I loved what Patrick did last night. This is what I expected from him at the start of the year. He actually looked fast at times last night. One shift he was back checking Eichel and skating stride for stride with him. Now Eichel isn't quick but once he gets moving he is fast. I really hope this is a sign he is feeling better. Prior to this he always seemed to be leaning forward and reaching while he skated. Last night he looked to be more on top of his skates and skating stronger and faster.
So, 30 games in, the kids are starting to pick things up a bit. TK had a nice goal the other night, Sanhiem scored, Weal had one a few games back. Leir, Laughton and Raffl are all scoring some, Fil scored and there is the secondary scoring that we need.

The same play you pointed out here stood out to me as well. Showed good quickness and awareness there.

Anyone think that the rumor between Flyers and Bruins discussing a Lehtera trade have any legs under it?
- SimmerDown

Not surprising at all. His value is high as evidenced by him being the key to the Schenn trade.

any recent update on Lindbolm and Vecchoine?
- wcorvette

Vecchione took a high hit on Saturday and has been out since then. NAK beat up the guy who hit him.

The Phantoms are down two centers because Vorobyev got hurt on Tuesday.

I think if somebody lacks depth down the middle and were willing to retain at least the buy out dollars for the next 2 years someone might trade us a 7th rounder for him. Could open up a spot for maybe somebody like lindblom and Weise can take lehtera spot in the cote

But Rinaldo got us a 3rd from Boston so if Boston is the dance partner we got to be able to squeeze out a 2nd!
