Completely agree! We may never have a core that talented at the same age again. Just ridiculous talent with those four.
I also am not moving Murray or Jake on his entry deal. Probably hard to get me to move Schultz. - Tojo.
There's honestly not many players I'd like to see depart. I think this is just going to be a rough year.
Players I'm fine with moving on: Hunwick, Reaves and Sheahan.
Players I'm not necessarily fine with moving on, but I don't think it would be the end: Hagelin and Hornqvist.
Everyone I'd keep and build around. |

I'll say this... I like Rowney and I have no problem with him being the Pens' 4C. The problem is you can't have both someone like Rowney AND Reaves on the fourth line... only one.
The Pens don't necessarily need a center like Cullen on the 4th, but they need a player, wing or center, like Cullen on the 4th. - Rinosaur
I like Rowney a little better then Reaves or Kuhnhackl at least. Ideally for me, he's a 13th forward, but don't know if we'll have that depth this year. Like his versatility to play wing or center and after Hags I think he is our best pk forward. |

The fourth line just has no legitimate scoring threat. IMO it doesn't matter if that player is a wing or center as long as the other players are capable. Hagelin on the 4th is a waste, but hey, it is what it is. Hagelin-Rowney-New Winger. I'd add a veteran winger who can score and that line IMO would be fine.
I like Hagelin-Sheahan-Hornqvist better though. |

He's fixated on sending Letang to BUF for some reason. - Rinosaur
No was defending my first post about the Letang to Buffalo. If we were going to trade him I would rather trade him to Montreal for Patch or for another all-star. |

Hopefully we can hold the lead in the 3rd. I think Crosby is feeling hungry for a goal in the 3rd |

I'm fine not doing anything too drastic. They are in a nice space capwise as salaries are really jumping and most of our guys are locked in. Even Sheahan has grown on me enough that while I still want another center I'd also like to keep him and get 4 deep.
Hags is the only guy I'd really like to move. Reaves and Hunwick to a lesser extent but their salaries aren't as blatantly bad. The rest, depends on the return other than the 6 or 7 I mentioned. But the team's salary structure is so good right now even id they struggle I'd hate to see them blow things up. |

I'm unrealistically hoping that if the cap goes to $82M the Pens consider moving Hunwick and re-signing Cole. |

Anyone on the 4th with Rowney and Reaves isn't going to score much. Hagelin doesn't score anyways and can at least pull up possession a little. Just that Simon has replaced Kuhnhackl has pulled up the talent a little, but that 4th line still isn't strong enough. |

I wish. Very similar guys but I trust Cole more. At least they will save some cap space. Even without a big jump they can add a good sized salary. |

They def need another center. Reaves and Hunwick lead the pack for me for players I want gone. I still like Hags and believe he can serve a purpose, but obviously his salary stings. If he were a 2mil player, I'd have no problem with him. |

Just to show you how bad the playoff system is, if the playoffs started today Boston would be in and possibly draft in the top 10. |

I don't think we're good trading partners - washedup20
Botterill was the brains of the bunch here. I don't think Cole++ for Kane is bad, I just think there will be better offers. Kane will be a rental, he won't agree to a sign and trade without knowing what every team in the league would offer him as a FA. |

This is just (frank)in terrible. I'm so torn. As I've stated I don't want the Pens to make any major moves, especially no desperation moves, but part of me wants them to lose this game so they make some kind of crazy trade to wake them up. |

That's the problem though. He's purely a good 4th liner and pk specialist for me at this point. Can't tie up 4M for that. |

So that tells me that Sully doesn't want Reaves playing & is trying to tell JR. This will lead to 1 of 2 things, poop fight behind the scenes that may already be happening, or Reaves gets 'rested' for a while.
Not only that, how does Reaves & his team mates feel about it.
All is not good in Pittsburgh in my opinion, which would explain a few things. |
