I was checking on Girardi and saw he's 6th in the NHL in blocked shots this year with 77.

Then, I noticed that Ryan McDonagh has 73 blocked shots. McD is well on his way towards having the most blocked shots of his whole career.

He's compensating for Girardi being gone.

I hated the Gaborik trade but it made them a better team at the time. Also, like you said it has ultimately become Zibanejad so I can live with it. Nice to see Gaborik get 2nd star the other night but still lose.
