I'm hardly a scout, but his first game with Sabres, he scored a goal coming from the corner to the front of the net like Stafford. The Stafford "one move" if you will. That's when I knew that guy's ceiling was 20 goals. Despite all the talk of increased speed, I still see nothing but a big body with AHL hands

I’ve never been a Fasching fan,
but it was strictly bc of his skating & footspeed

Kid can play in front of the net though
Not saying he’s gonna score 30 ever
But he could be effective on the PP at least

It’s just probably gonna be for a different team since Botts seems to value speed

There's a reason he fell to the 4th round and it's not because he was injured. What the hell was Murray think I'll never know. I don't mind that he took a chance on the kid, but trading the lesser of the two 2nds was all he was ever worth.

When thinking about prospects, I always look for one thing they're great at. Erod has shown speed, Baptiste has finishing ability, and Guhle shows good vision in the breakout. I just don't see one facet of the game that Fasching excels at.

I liked McNabb on the bottom pair, wasn't a blockbuster trade, but it shocked me when it happened. I had never even heard of Dlo and Fasching.

At least if the player misses the net, you can assume they were shooting at a small window. But when they hit the goalie square in the chest, no excuse at the NHL level.

I believe that JBotts is using his 1st season as a feel it out, see whatcha got, dump some dead weight, throw away “tank” season
