Tony G. advocating Benning moving aside at the end of the year, if he's agreeable, and getting a competent management group in here. Says there's some nice pieces he's put together (Boeser/Pettersson) but his overall body of work is not pretty.

I think it would be a good move if he agree's

I just don't see any pattern with Benning, I can't see what he's trying to accomplish, maybe that's because of ownership though? I don't know....he pisses me off!!

I'll use the Flyers as an example, because I follow them too, I see a pattern with Hextall's moves. When he came on in 2014 they started to rebuild the defence through the draft when they added Sanheim and Provorov to add to Ghost, Morin and Hagg (who were drafted by Holmgren).

He took three goaltenders in 2015, one in 2016 and one in 2017, that's five goalies in three years.

He also added a bunch of picks in the past three years in the first three rounds and took four centers in the first two rounds the past two years. I can see what he's doing.

With Benning I don't know what he's doing....It frustrates me!!!

Exactly, all this talk of trading for a top 9 forward is a real head scratcher. Aquilini hired two rookies to be his yes men

It's rumoured Aquilini wants an established GM, look for Ken Holland to be hired, he's a compete at all costs kinda guy and just as bad as Benning

Biega in Tanev out. I think it's time to get rid of Tanev while he has value.

Vanek playing with the twins. Boeser with Gagner and Eriksson.

No it's not, someone is always willing to take the chance if they think it'll help them win.

So all you need to do is find an NHL GM who thinks that Tanev will help them win?

If you find that guy, let me know. I'm looking to trade Komarov and Bozak.

Not one of the defensemen on this team should be here when this team is ready to compete.

Tanevs minutes on the canucks vs tanevs minutes on any other team wont be the same. Hes relied upon like crazy here, hence the plethora of injuries. Give him a proper d partner and lessen his work load and he will be fine
