Most definitely! Just win. Doesn't matter who you're playing, who's missing from the line-up or the conditions you're coming off of; play the game like this and you'll win more often than you'll lose.

As for everyone figuring it out, I think it's as much about the D being sorted. Klefbom has settled his game back down which has allowed Benning to be less scrambly, Auvitu has found his lanes to be an offensive threat and Davidson has settled the bottom pairing in a way that Gryba wasn't/can't.

Side note: Nurse is rocking around 55% in CF, FF and GF% away from McDavid! Absolutely crazy numbers and super encouraging for his future in the league I can't say enough how happy I am to be wrong about him!

Puljujarvi is pretty amazing not gonna lie. Can't wait 'til Sekera, Larsson and Talbot are back.

They have 16mil in cap space (assuming only a 75mil cap) and the only priorities they have to resign are Carlson, Bowey, Eller and Wilson. Neither Eller nor Wilson are gonna get much more than 2.5 per and Bowey would be coming off a rookie season and wouldn't get more than Lindell's 2.2 per. That's around 7ish mil leaving 11+ to resign Carlson with- I'm struggling to see how they're lacking cap space.

Grubauer is bound to be out the door this coming year with Samsonov likely coming over and Holtby still firmly entrenched. As for future calculations, raises for Burakovsky and Vrana the year following will be covered by Orpik's contract expiring.
