Looking back here are the games I would say Brossoit cost
Carolina - Brossoit stopped 16 of 21 shots .762%
Toronto - Yeah the Russell own goal is the big one everyone remembers but a .857% is nothing to write home about.
Philly - Not a terrible performance but the Weise goal was pretty weak. - freelancer
I find he allows a weak goal almost every game. At least since Talbot went down.
Leafs: Moore shoots pretty far out on the wing, Brossoit (frank)s up
Flames: Like every goal.
Flyers: Shot from the point.
Leafs: The shot should've been saved.
Columbus: The second goal. |

NEEERRRRRRRDDSSS.
They're (frank)ing hilarious. Never get to show it tho.
WWE should just pair them with Balor because now they're (frank)ing Balor over. - KrisRussellIsBad
It should have been that from the start |

Certainly. Original comment was in regards to games LB has cost us points in. |

Duchene has 5 points in 16 games
Turris has 14 points in 15 games
Since the trade
Duchene has a 54% faceoff winning percentage, a +10 Giveaway/Takeaway ratio, but the team has the puck less when he's on, even when he starts in the offensive zone more than the defensive and he doesn't penalty kill in Ottawa.
I don't know how you guys got mad at me when I said he wasn't worth 6 million. |

Turris was also traded to one of the top 3 teams in the league.
Duchene... not so much. He goes to a trap team getting poop goaltending. Also Karlsson is playing injured, I don’t give a poop what he says. Doesn’t even look like the same player from last year.

Not trying to hammer on lb or anything, he’s just one of many problems we’ve had this season. And he has been abit steadier.
But in terms of the question, I’d say a couple games.
We know he’s generally good for one softie a game.
That awful short side goal by Moore in the leafs first game coulda went a long way in getting us a point (altho he battled and made a few big waves later in so that’s a reasonable counter argument to be made )
The weise softie against philly that gave them the lead and kinda took the wind out of our sails.
And on that tip, that Johnson goal against cbj can’t go in. It just happened to not matter much, but still .
For sure nuance involved and not all on him, but yeah, he’s involved in a point or two lost I think. On a team that can’t bleed anymore - HB77
Don't forget about that Eichel goal from the half boards to start the 3rd in Buffalo |

I thought about drinking myself to death that night.
No way you should ever lose a game when you have 30 more shots than the other team.
I mean that was really the first time they scored 3 goals. McDavid's hattrick had an empty net, but it took them 5 (frank)ing games to score 3 goals on a goaltender. Four games later they score 5 on Dallas, then New Jersey they put up 6 then another 3 games they score 3 vs New Jersey.
Finally they exploded scoring 8 against Vegas (which may be the smartest franchise the NHL ever allowed in) and for the past month they've been doing really good.
So in 17 games, they only managed to score 3 or more goals on a goalie 4 times. Since then in 14 games they have scored 3 or more goals 10 times. They've lost 3 of those games (shouldn't have lost against Toronto).
Sorry kinda went on a tangent there |

People (not you guys) got mad when I said that it was a fluke season for the Sens last season. It's basically the same team.
But Coga was pissed when I said he wasn't worth 6 million. Which he isn't, he's a good player but overrated. |

Lucic-McDavid-Puljujarvi
Maroon-NugentHopkins-Cammalleri
Khaira-Draisaitl-Strome
Caggiula/Slepy-Letestu-Kassian
Nurse-Larsson
Klefbom-Sekera
Russell-Benning
Davidson
Avitu
Talbot
Brossoit
That's a pretty decent team. I'd move Maroon and maybe pick up Grabner so Cammalleri can move back to LW.
Nurse and Larsson both eat a lot of minutes
Sekera played RD in 2015-16
Russell is poop. |

Yeah right.
And that one finished us. (Altho we were playing poorly anyway- but still, point stands )
And someone else mentioned the canes game awhile back where he was anything but stellar.
Both games I had forgotten he played in
He’s cost us a couple anyway |

Well, you guys obviously watched a different TO game than I did. LB made many saves that night that he had no right making, the Oil played like garbage. To say that LB cost us those 2 points, or the 2 points in the last 1-0 loss to TO is kind of ridiculous. And they won the Calgary and Columbus games, so he cost us nothing there. Plus, you also have to consider that Talbot hasn't exactly been consistent this year either, so as a back-up goalie thrown to the wolves, I think LB has held his own admirably. Carolina was a train wreck, but that was one spot start 2 months ago, not the current streak where he has filled in.
I'm just saying I'm willing to give him some time to show what he can do, rather than have Chia make a stupid trade for an overpriced under-performing back-up. He could still easily prove that my faith in him is unwarranted, most Oilers do. |

What would be a reasonable trade for Carlson from Washington? UFA at the end of the season but would be second on our team in points. |

Nothing. Not interested in trading for any UFA’s unless we’re holding down a playoff spot. |

One that sends him to a team that isn't ours. |

Feels like the perfect sort of game to be see the Oilers come out flat and disappoint us. The Preds are such a good team that I reckon they'll jump on any weakness- 4-2 Preds. |

Ya JB is an idiot. We would give up way too much to get Carlson. Plus Washington would be pretty much giving up on their season if they did that. |

Beyond that, I have doubts we could fit him into our cap structure and that I don't think he'll be worth the contract he'll get. We can't keep giving players contracts that go well into their 30s; it's not a winning strategy. |
