I have a weird feeling that we need to get used to it.

I agree, I strongly disagree with the mins he's been given. But he does a lot of good things well defensively. A good bottom 6 forward. But the 19 mins a game has to stop - Santo_44
He plays on the top checking line and full PK....I doubt his mins go down much.
It is what it is. |

Carrick is young and inconsistent but I think he has the tools to be a decent bottom pairing d-man in the league. He doesn't shy away from physical like some other d-men on the team. - TheMussel
he doesn't really play a physical game tho, he does put his glove in the face of the opposing player after the whistle blows, but I am not sure if that is considered "physical". Carrick is way too inconsistent and loses puck battles easily |

Agreed.. It would be asking too much of Andersen to perform at a .950 Save % for the rest of the season. |

So I only managed to watch the 3rd period last night, but not much to complain about in that loss (at least from what I saw).
Yes, Minny was playing kitty-bar-the-door, but good gracious, we had a lot of good chances.
Their goalie was jerked around by the Leafs two years ago - it was a revenge game for him.
On to Detroit! |

Can't agree with much of this post. Plenty to complain about. An game against a substantially weaker team that should have been a win. 12 measly shots on net the first two periods. Scoring zero goals never something to be satisfied with - especially this team.
Who cares what style they play - I understand Leafs have difficulty with Western teams, particularly when rough stuff arises. Want to win - compete
Who cares about revenge? Has nothing to do with what the Leafs produced - a stinky effort at best. Almost scoring is like almost getting laid. (frank) that.

Well, I did preface it by saying I only saw the third.
And I question your statement that Minny isa substantially weaker team:
Toronto: 33 games played, 41 points
Minny: 31 games played, 37 points
Who cares what style they play - I understand Leafs have difficulty with Western teams, particularly when rough stuff arises. Want to win - compete - winsix
At least in the third period, I thought they did compete. Can't win them all.

Does that mean the Leafs can still get a point in the shower after the game?
