I’m starting to really wonder if polak can make a tape to tape pass. I think he only has one gear and it’s a half clapper at his intended receivers hips/head.
It’s hard watching him behind the goal line trying to make an outlet pass.

I'm not sure why he is still in the lineup, he can't do much anymore... They have better options on D then him. (frank), even Carrick is better and I can't stand Carrick

Carrick is young and inconsistent but I think he has the tools to be a decent bottom pairing d-man in the league. He doesn't shy away from physical like some other d-men on the team.

I like Carrick too but sometimes he looks like a boy trying to wrestle men.
I'd rather see Leivo play with Kadri and Marleau/Brown
Also Carrick > Polak
Hope Babs starts scratching players who deserve it at times rather than consistently scratching Leivo. - LeafGuy89
I know it’s hate Komarov in here. It he allows Kadri and whoever’s on the other wing more freedom to play O. I also realize I’m in the minority in thinking he has value and plays great defensive hockey. I’ll say it again, he’ll be resigned.
After watching Vegas last night ( some of it ) I may become a fan, I think they’re just as good as the Leafs

i agree. i think he's doing exactly what babcock wants him to do. focus on shutting down offense from the other team's top players.

I don’t get the hate, he gets the puck to the shooters and is 1st back 90% of the time. Oh well, they’ll start clicking again soon I think. ( the team )

my only issue is he'll be 31 soon.
a lot of hard minutes on that body. i don't know if there should be another contract for him.

Matt Frattin was underrated for one main reason.
He hit ex-Leafs like a truck. Beach, Pokihansky.
When we trade away all of our young talent we need a Frattin to hit them before they inevitably score a hattrick against us every time they come back. - markmark
Grundstrom will hit them...after he leaves the Leafs org to sign in NY.

Agreed, i love Leo, but I can't see where he helps the team moving forward.
Sure his defensive game is good, and a great PKer, but his offense lately hasn't been anything to be happy with.
Leivo's two way game has improved, he back checks better than most of our players do I have noticed in the very little time he has played. He clearly knows he has to if he wants to keep a spot on the roster.
He can win battles in the Ozone better than Leo can, or the puck tends to always find where he is. I guess I'd just like to see him get given more of an opportunity to see what he's capable of.
