Lettieri, Pionk and Deangelo, I mean why the (frank) did we trade for him to give up after less than a month? Another astounding move by the Rangers front office - KreiderBomb
You traded for the 7th overall pick and to get Stepan's awful contract off the books. DeAngelo was a throw-in that has/had some upside potential that he is/was unlikely to realize. Still possible he does and becomes a contributing offensive defenseman, but I think it's fair to say that's a long shot at this point in his career.
But the real value in that trade was moving out salary and getting a high pick to restock the farm. |

I'm done with this fantasy, it's never gonna happen, we're not gonna win on hope, Ottawa didn't win the Stanley Cup, they didn't even play for it, losing in the ECF would have been still failure - KreiderBomb
But there is no guarantee they would win if they had a fantastic regular season. Remember the presidents trophy in 2015 |

Come on Matt, you're smarter than this, in a 7 game series the Rangers don't stand a chance, like Herb said "if we play them 10 times they may beats us 9" that's the same here, winning a regular season game doesn't compare, that's like Buffalo beating the Bolts, so that means they can beat them in a 7 game series? - KreiderBomb
Unless you guys can gaurantee me blowing it up will bring a cup, I just can't get on board with it. The rangers aren't playing great right now but I don't think they are as bad as you think. Call up a player or two, add another center and or defenseman I think they are competitive. We all know come playoff time a hot goalie can go a long way. I still think hank can take us there if he gets hot at the right time.

The Rangers desperately need Stepan's awful contract right now. Because Hayes, Miller and David Deshairnais have been brutal down the middle. |

The Difference between the Coyotes and the Rangers this years has been goal tending. Think about that, think how bad the Coyotes are. |

Well, yeah. They did do a bad job replacing the hole Stepan left. Stepan was a good-not-great player with a bad contract, but still had value on the ice obviously. |

In fairness he's playing on a team that is made up of about 2/3 AHL players |

Offense Rangers 7th Coyotes 29th.. - mdw7413
The Coyotes have a shot differential of -186, the Rangers have a -154. The Rangers get good goal tending and are lucky for it. The Coyotes don't. |

So you take one stat and say we are the same, but ignore the stat that shows our offense 7th and the Yotes 30th...... |

I just gave a stat that says the two teams play similar bad defensive hockey. The Rangers get better goaltending which keeps them in games. |

The two teams are similar, yeah. The Rangers are better because they have Ondjre
Pavalec, who's playing well as of late and Henrik Lundqvist. |

You said we are the same. Clearly thats not true. You can say we give up shots at a similar rate but you know who also does. The team you think is way better than us. The isles. We also take more shots than the Isles per game |

Islanders have scored 8 more goals than the Rangers in the same amount of games. They overcome their average goaltending. Getting great play out of Tavares and Barzal helps. |
