Was listening to the radio and he was interviewed after the first period. He said he thought the Karlson was gonna catch him and that he would be able to find a teammate trailing the play.
- climbdenali12

Yeah Karlsson was coming on quick on his forehand side and Andersson was taking away the backhand. I think he still should have at least shot at the goal. No defense of not getting a shot off

What's with the post game report praising the only 2 good plays we had all game and totally avoiding any discussion of the problems on display? I get that they work for the corporation, but that is blind denial.

K Shatt should get an assist on Ottawa's first goal. It was a beauty pass, tape to tape, to Stone (I think) then to Ryan for the ice breaker...
- jacksonNYR

I'd say Hank should get the apple on that opening goal. That is a shot that HAS to be stopped.
And without making any excuse for the poor play, how does Ryan not get a penalty for knocking Smith's sticking flying out of his hand as he tries to poke that puck out over the blue line on the 2nd goal? He sent it 20 feet in the air.

Agreed. Exactly why I want another center.

Adding to this team would be a mistake, 1 new player isn't going to fix multiple deficiencies

After Shatty turned it over he completely screened the shot

What about that ghost call on Miller for hooking after the Sens player was hugging him along the boards?

I'm not sure I get the officiating in the game any more. It's turning into a soft game.

One last thing before I get back to work.
I may be gone for another ban soon! I posted a quick message on the Caps board again thanking Tanner for having me banned for calling out the quality of his blog. The Mod's told me I disrespected him, but I sent them a message saying I showed him exactly how much respect he deserves!!

I saw the interview too. Just still doesn't make any sense in my head. It's a BREAKAWAY. He pulled up and turned 2 feet from the crease. Who does that??? He should of just pulled a Kreider and slammed into Anderson then.

Disagree. I know you and Tom want to blow it up. But if you guys can't handle playing a little above mediocre, there is no way you would be able to handle a full rebuild with sucking for a decade and no guarantee they play any better.

He did. Agreed.
But, it was a wrist shot from 20 feet out that went between his arm and body. He should be the 1st one to tell you that he has to make that save.

Especially with a draft lottery, blowing it up doesn't guarantee anything.

Yep, plus look at the East this year. It is very winnable. Even with the Rangers struggles, make a move or two, call up a player or two and things could improve. I can't throw in the towel

You're right, the first goal is goal you'd like Lundqvist to stop. But last night and even Monday is the purest example of how the Rangers need their goalies to be amazing every game in order to get a win. If Pavalec, who has been better of late, and Lundvist don't stand on their heads they don't win. That's not how good teams draw up game plans.

Mediocre doesn't win Cups, I'm not in this for mild entertainment, there's no way this team can win 4 rounds, especially not under AV, multiple issues with this team, I've given up on Hank winning a Cup, it's senseless now just get them off the path their headed in

You think the Rangers are along the line of Tampa and Columbus? The Bolts are not going to get upset by this team

I couldn't even bring myself to listen to their post game full of poop speeches, I'm so disgusted with them, it's a waste of time rooting for this organization, nothing but misery and shame

Gorton is to blame too. Av is almost always emotionless, so it's reflected in the players. But Gorton thinking Paul Carey, Steven Kampfer, Nick Holden and David Deshairnais could be relied upon for substantial minutes is a joke.

They have one SCF appearance in the last 23 years. What's 10 more years?
